They've got to walk a tight rope.

Imply he's a Russian agent just enough to cause him to lose the Dem nomination BUT...…...not so much that if he still wins the nomination, they can't just switch gears and say, "well, he's not like Trump"

This is probably the best take.

At this point Bernie will either win the nomination outright or win the most delegates but fall slightly short of an outright majority.

The DNC is trying to manufacture a reason to deny Sanders the nomination at a brokered convention that the public might accept.

Except Bernie's supporters, they won't accept it. Which I'm quite surprised that this eventuality doesn't scare the hell outta the DNC and Dems at large. I assume they believe, as usual, that people (Bernie supporters) are flat out stupid and will forget all about their guy being screwed and end up falling in line. Looks to me like massive miscalculation in the making.

Bernie was a huge fan of the USSR. USSR is dead. Modern Russia =/= USSR.

Made the mistake of turning on foxnews instead of OAN this morning. They were saying the Russians were helping Bernie because they wanted it to harm Bernie in order to help Trump. Do you have OAN in the southeast? I subscribe over Roku now and it’s the best $5 per month I spend.
