Russian troops take command of U.S. airbase in northern Syria

In a lab at my alma mater there is a scanning electron microscope. This is a $1M piece of amazing technology that actually allows us to see the atom...the smallest constituent unit of matter known in the universe. It was incredible to see these little dots in form on the screen.
If you were using that exact same scanning electron microscope, you would not be able to see how little I care about the Russians taking over an American base in Syria.
