Jeebus, this reads like a story to stir up fears of WWIII instead of these little encounters happen in a few places lots of times.
And I seriously doubt Russia flew over Japan airspace for 7 hrs unless Japan says something.

Whataboutism isn't good. I'm not Russian, idgaf what Russia does. I'm American, I give a frick what we do. Russia doing dumb things that can start a war and get their citizens killed, that's for the Russian citizens to worry about. I worry about our government starting a war and getting us killed.

I don't fully understand that logic but don't doubt that's their thought process.
They FUBAR'd the Afghanistan withdrawal so bad that they can't possibly think Americans would really want to engage with chit for brains as POTUS. Much less, let him continue down the path come election time.

Yes, and there have been some near collisions over the years. Some blame lack of training of Russian pilots for the downing of our Reaper. Also recall several years ago a Chinese fighter pilot collided with one of our spy planes.
If there was an accidental downing of a B-52 in today's political climate, we might be looking at WWIII
