1. Joe is in way over his head on Ukraine. Calling Putin a killer was also not a wise move.

2. Putin already took Crimea on Joe’s watch as Vice President.

3. Every Democrat around the world is on edge because Putin May cut off their illegal money laundering scheme by taking the corrupt state of Ukraine.

Ukraine is a hotspot for corrupt people all over the world that do business there. Putin doing this is a giant FU to people like the Biden family, Chinese, etc.

I think Russia would crush the Ukraine or the EU for that matter. Russia has made major changes to their military since 2014. They’re using in house technology instead of relying on western military systems and technology like they were 10 years ago.

Exactly. If anything he’s going to put a huge dent in the democratic money laundering/dirty money scheme. Joe must be on edge right now

Good. It will be very expensive and result in Ukrainian guerilla tactics killing thousands of Russian soldiers. Dems lose money and Russia loses money and is weakened. Win and a win. As we have seen many times now, conquering a country is much easier than holding it. Occupation is very expensive.

what does russia have to gain in ukraine compared to the immense cost it would bring?

IIRC they have a major port / naval base in Crimea...now without water. It could be a point of contention for them...just saying.

Putin has high approvals in russia.

A quagmire in ukraine at the cost of russian lives won't be good for him in the court of public opinion.

I think rather than a conflict in the Ukraine being a threat to Putin....I see it more more likely to be a threat to the establishment than runs American and Western Europe. If Ukraine breaks out into conflict I think it very possible spreads into a conflict involving Turkey, Syria, Iran and the United States. I also think China takes advantage and makes a move on Taiwan. I think that scenario would end in a stunning defeat for the American military and their allies in the Middle East. It would possibly topple the Davos elites than run Western civilization.

Russia has a mostly defensive military. Their spending focuses almost totally on defense. One exception is the huge number of tanks they have. More tanks than any military in the world. But that's something they've built up over decades.

Ukraine? Sure, they would crush Ukraine. The EU? They’re not interested in going to war against the EU. They don’t even have the money for it.

Ukraine is the most valuable land on Russia's entire border. It is highly industrialized and has the most productive farmland in Europe. The Crimean is dotted with fancy resorts and mansions. It is also the only warm-water port in the former USSR.

Yes, all is true. And Joe is a big doofus.

Ukraine will roll over with quickness. They know they are on their own as the EU and Resident Biden will provide ZERO support.

In short, when this is all said and done (and either Ukraine capitulates diplomatically, or they get their arse kicked overnight), Putin will be hailed by the Russian people. Just my .02.

Jimmy,
If you watch Russian news, they’re saying that a conflict with Russia will result in the full annexation of the Ukraine. These European societies are all unstable. There’s an expiration date on these fiat currency systems that no one knows for sure but I imagine we’ll see a collapse of the system in next decade or so. Who’s to say who will be in charge of those societies in 5-20 years. Those people might not even care that Russia annexed the Ukraine in a conflict. They’ll only be concerned with internal power struggles.

All true.

Still, I say either Ukraine capitulates diplomatically, or they get their arse kicked.

This is true if the EU had balls...they don’t.
