Rush, why is WHO now reversing themselves on lockdowns?

I was listening to the Rush show earlier and he was musing about why the W.H.O was suddenly reversing course and advocating against lockdowns? Why now?
He went on to say, if Biden is a pawn for the globalists and he is assured of election victory, shouldn’t they be waiting this out and preparing to double down on lockdowns?
Maybe they know things the MSM is hiding from us abut the real poll numbers?
Of course the sceptic in me thinks, maybe they are changing course now to help Biden in a future economic recovery?
Thoughts?

The lockdowns are very unpopular, even in the solid blue states... Biden is not winning any votes by insisting the shutdowns remain/continue... This gives him top cover to reverse course...

It's a game. Mark my words, the gaslighting is about to go full force that Joe Biden has been against the lockdowns from the very beginning. There will be lies upon lies about how how this economic disaster could have been avoided if President Trump responded "correctly." This is a desperation move trying to get the low information voters to the polls.

Before Biden, Kamala, Schumer, Pelosi, Whitmer, Newsome, Cuomo, etc., etc, etc. can flip flop their policy edicts, they need the news media and government bureaucrats to get out in front of them and make it possible for them to save face and pretend to be following "science".

Maybe they are actually caring about the world population and know there are more people dying from starvation than bc of Covid.
The cure can’t be worse than the problem?? The “cure” (lockdowns) are the problem in most 3rd world countries.
The poor are becoming whatever is less than impoverished. There are stories of Venezuelan refugees leaving Ecuador in droves so they can at least go back to starve/ die in their homeland.

There is no new scientific evidence. Economists have been warning since March that a global shutdown could end up killing more people than the pandemic.

This. The initial assessment of COVID 19 has been pretty spot on. The WHO did nothing but spread CCP disinformation that crippled global response and parrot lies about BLM protests not being a public health risk.
