1: Calling Sandra Fluke a slut (a comment even he apologized for and said was inappropriate)

2: His fairly extensive history history of trivializing rape and rape victims.

3: Blaming suicide on the liberal mindset.

Bonus: Saying Native Americans are better off after being largely wiped out because the ones left have government land and casinos.

Also seems unnecessary how he dances on the graves of certain people when they have passed.

1. She's a slut.
2. His apology was tongue in cheek. I heard it. Did you?

Never happens. You have been reading anti Rush sites. You have no honor. How sad.

Never happens. Once again you have proven that you do not listen to the show and you have no honor. Sucks for you, Klavin.

He's a lightning rod, he gets ratings, although he's past his high water mark. If you agree with him, he reinforces your beliefs. I suspect the number of minds he's changed over the years, is vanishingly small. Rabble, Rabble, Harangue, Bitch isn't the greatest strategy to convert someone to your point of view. Which probably doesn't matter to him, but even the GOP has figured out he doesn't need to be the face of their party. You don't see photo ops anymore like the one when Newt made him an honorary member of the GOP freshman class in Congress.

ETA: and his demographic is rapidly aging. IYAM this had as much or more to do with stations dropping him as did the boycotts.

BTW, what happened to his threatened lawsuit? The DCCC basically told him "frick you, sue us if you dare." So the ball's in his court.

I asked you what you HEARD Rush say live on the radio your own self. If you never listen to Rush then just be honest and say "Zach, all I know about Rush is what I read about him ...I never listen to his show." Is that so hard?

Otherwise, you are debating with me from an extreme disadvantage because I listen to him every day.

I have no problem with him, he has every right to say what he wants and he makes dumbass libtards foam at the mouth. He definitely serves an entertaining purpose.

My only point was that Im not a huge fan personally because much of his persona is schtick and he does it to get a rise out of the left. Kudos to him for beung great at it.

Oh, it's more than that. He scares the crap out of establishment GOP (think John McCain). He definitely effects Republican strategy.

Honest question, Roger, how many hours of Rush have you listen to on radio in the last year?

OK, tell me about the first time you listened to him? Did you tune in out of curiosity, accidentally? If you didn't like him why did you tune in again after the first time?

What's wrong with the narrative besides it making white conservatives uncomfortable?

The narrative is incorrect - the outrage is misdirected. Whatever ills the black community suffers have all been brought on them by DEM policies - so the DEMs have to direct the understandable rage at someone besides themselves, They point to any political opponent as being the source of black problems, regardless of how imbecillic it may be.

You seem to be incapable of understanding facts, or (more likely) you are just a dishonest activist who is comfortable with supporting known lies as long as you can encourage more unfortunate and more ignorant blacks (and white fellow travelers) to focus their unhappiness toward a political opponent rather than at the real source of their troubles.

I didnt say I couldnt stands him or anythig, just that he doesnt do it for me as much as some other political commentators. I still find him funny sometimes. And political radio is largely complete shite, outside of Limbaugh most everyone else worth a damn is on TV or an author.

And my dad listened to him growing up, so I was always aware of him. My first real exposure was when he was on the NFL pregame show back in 2003 or so, when I was 15. I first listened somewhat regularly in 2007 I think, my freshman year of college.

Wow, your first exposure was NFL. I never listened to him on the NFL pregame. Here is some perspective..
In the 1980s I was researching a variety of topics (before internet) and I was particularly cognizant of the fake data put out by Homeless Advocates. Mitch Snyder was the leader... the Jesse Jackson of Homelessness.

I was channel hopping music stations in my car when I heard this guy say "After this break we will have a homeless update."

I thought.."What a moron who believes the Homeless scam." Changed channels. Then I came back after a lot of bad songs and heard him say "Mitch Snyder is faking the Homeless data. It's a ruse."

I thought "Damn, someone else knows this? I called my brother in Virginia and said 'Ya gotta listen to this guy Rush Limbaugh. He's saying what we already know."

Mitch Snyder was eventually exposed as a fraud. The Dem congress was pressured to defund him. He killed himself. His teenage girl friend brought his ashes to Congress to ask for money. But Mitch's ashes couldn't talk because ashes just can't talk.

I suggest you listen to Rush live and post critiques of what you don't agree with.

And now, Zach must sign off for the night. Lucy's shower just went off which means it's time for me to cook her dinner.

Stay well, my friend.

If it's fair to say this, then certainly it would be fair to call Rush a degenerate drug addict.

Recovering drug addict to be precise.

I don't think degenerate is accurate.

He nailed it on Ferguson, though, and that's the subject of this thread.

I'm sure you agree with me that people created a false narrative regarding Ferguson. Right, tactical?

I heard him when he said it, and it was only one part of a very long discussion about Fluke and her demand that the taxpayers pay for her sex life.

I have been listening to him for 27 years, and I have never heard him trivialize rape or rape victims.

He was discussing in a philosophical way how people with different beliefs, and just they way they are wired, react to stress, unhappiness, addiction.

.

If he said that, I'm sure it was tongue in cheek. He has been adamant about the destruction the Federal Government has imposed upon Native American tribes, in the form of the Reservations, where it has isolated them from the rest of America, and has robbed them of their dignity.

Rush Limbaugh became addicted to oxycodone because his ear canal was drilled out to have a cochlear implant installed.

He didn't do it for recreational purposes.

I never thought Rush should've called Fluke a slut. That was wrong, imo (I'm not saying it was inaccurate).

But, anybody who thinks that woman "just happened to show up" toward the end of the day of that subcommittee hearing is naive beyond belief.

That was a planned part of the initial phase of the phony #waronwomen.

No need to call her a slut, especially since it put the wrong side on the defensive. But, I have yet to see much of anything to respect about Sandra Fluke.
