No Saint, it's not new.
Along the same vein, the BBC was never as swift as ABC about removal for racial slurs made by their employees.
On the BBC on May 2, 1997, referring to the success of the golfer Tiger Woods, Alistair Cooke claimed that "There'll be a spectacular increase in the number of black boys, and I do mean boys, teenagers, who begin to i n f e s t the public courses in America."

Cooke also went on to make shocking commentary on the riot in Watts in 1965.

The BBC still showcases Alistair Cooke today.

Saying Soros was a Nazi, while apparently incorrect, was not racist.

Is Your Bra Racist? - Bras
Yeah, I remember the controversy over crayola crayon's deluxe pack having the color 'flesh'. To me it was 'off white' but I can't use that term without recalling the bitching I got from my gay black artist friend, Ed, who screamed: "Damnit, Zach, there is NO SUCH COLOR AS OFF WHITE! Everything that is not white is logically 'off white.'"
I remember band aids coming out with different colors. As for bras and panties I prefer my wife to wear black because I like the contrast with skin. Maybe black men prefer their wives to where white for the same reason.
