Why is this even a debate? Trump is obviously running unless his health goes bad. Noem will be VP. DeSantis has no shot at even challenging him for the nomination. All one has to do is look at how many showed up in Arizona to hear Trump.

Nobody on either side of the aisle has that kind of following. All that matters is if Trump supporters demand a fair election. If the Staci Abrams of the world get anywhere near the election the Dems will win no matter if thats Trump, DeSantis or anyone else.

I think Ron is a better politician, mind and probably a better person than Trump.

But I think there may be an argument that having Ron continuing to push Florida away from the federal government is more important than having that effort stalled by him winning the WH.

The idea being that a 50 state US may be unsalvageable in the long term, so him putting a band aid on it with good leadership is of limited utility. Of course, if Trump wins the WH perhaps it's a wash because he won't go to war with FL, I guess.

I can't believe how much Republicans want to pander to the people responsible for the pedophile in the White House.

Romney apologizing for making a factual statement about the 47% is a good example of pandering.

this i agree with. i personally hope Trump doesnt run as I dont think he will win. All of us on this board are in an echo chamber. I live in Calcasieau and its over 65% red so i live and am surrounded by an echo chamber. I also oppose electing anyone over 70 out of princple if given a choice. I will vote for him if its between him and a D though. In local elections though i will vote other party if the person has already served two terms. I am huge on the age thing and term limits.

but if trump runs....then you are correct in that Ron should not. I think it hurts his chances in 2028 but the problem is....trump prolly wont win and we will be fricked by then.

No no. Your argument is that Trump locked down the nation. You stated that. It was a lie.

You stated that as a reason to vote DeSantis. The fact is Desantis stated that the Gov of a state is more consequential in the daily lives of the people in a state. He is correct. HE LOCKED DOWN HIS STATE!

So your argument is FLAWED.

People are calling you out over THAT.

no only you are because you keep saying i said that when i never did.

please show me one fricking time i said trump lockdown the nation or where i lied.

i agree with him and live by the motto what happens in the white house has very little bearing on what happens in mine.

HE LOCKED DOWN HIS STATE!

no shite, i acknowledged that, said it was a mistake. same thing he himself said.

so thats you arguement? that i am a liar....when i never once said trump called for a lockdown. I said he failed to lead on it adn allowed fauci to have a voice.

my arguement is not flawed. as usual with you ......no facts, no links to back anything up. just libel and deflect

umm almost entirely fueled by BIDEN bucks.

as gov he shouldnt turn down those dollars as the same feds have caused 7% inflation. so no.

again deflect, deflect, deflect

ftr no matter who was presidet....i would oppose that kind of spending the first covid bill had

and ftr im not some DeSantis fan boy. im not even sure he would be top 3 for me if i had to choice. if he was...it would be 3.

you and others need to stop taking things so personal when someone says something bad abotu trump.

Starting with Reagan, name one thing a Republican president did for their voters or country.

I'll even give you thirty days to find something.

You keep bashing Trump but he was far better than those three.

They sign big spending bills which are produced by boomers, Gen X & Gen Y.

Your buddy the boomer Rand Paul has even signed some.

Strange that the exact opposite was assumed, just because I said there is no middle. There is no political middle. My point is proven by you saying "Don't talk politics with neighbor."... so I'm supposed to find the political middle by avoiding the political altogether. Makes perfect sense.

That's how you find the political ignorant.

I know that the left has a faction where there is no middle either. Just as the right. When there is no middle there is no peace. The fringes always lose. But not before they ask for people to follow them or worse take over the fight for them. The fringes always asks for others young to die for their follies. The middle
