What is his rush to run in 2024? It seems to me it would be better for him to wait until 2028 for multiple reasons. More time to be with his kids while they grow up. Less stress on his wife while she recovers from her cancer treatment. Gain more on the job experience. He will still only be 49.

Not to mention it is only going to fracture his support by taking on Trump head on. He should ask Ted Cruz how that works out.

Why is he pushing for the presidency now?

Or are the globalists funding him simply to take Trump out?

He does have ties to Yale and Harvard after all. Those two bastions of populism.

Governor's have a bigger impact on the state than the President.

Agreed. Don’t understand all this friction that is going on. The best case scenario for me would be trump 24 and then Desantis 28 and 32

I think he is better serving as a mentor for DeSantis and backbone for change.

He hasn’t even announced and he has the Trump die-hards scared.

Trump as press secretary.
Just to make media heads absolutely explode.

I don't know what you guys are smoking.

There isn't going to be any Trump vs DeSantis battle royale.

It's Trump's move whether he decides to run or not.

I'll agree with the first part of your post that I don't see the rush for DeSantis.

Desantis is much more palatable to the middle than Trump is.

False. Every Floridian who works is paying 15% payroll tax for SS because of FDR.

Whether we admit it or not, there is no middle.

This wave of Trumpism will die out shortly. He has to cash in now or give it up forever.

It's also unlikely he will get a shot in 2028 if Trump wins in 2024, b/c of voter fatigue. When was the last time a party had 2 different Presidents elected in succession?

You haven't seen the attack yet from the media.

They will pummel and ostracize DeSantis also if he ends up running.

Now, they may not be able to come up with a "Grab them by the P****" video. But he'll be attacked regardless.

BTW the left is still in disbelief that "kill shot" didn't turn the tide.

He’s a better candidate than Trump…he will bring more voters that won’t touch Trump. Like it or not…it’s true
