Rolling Stone is skeptical of Whistleblower: "The ‘Whistleblower’ Probably Isn’t"

It’s fair to wonder if this is a one-person effort. Even former CIA official Robert Baer, no friend of Trump, said as much in an early confab on CNN with Brooke Baldwin:
BAER: That’s what I find remarkable, is that this whistleblower knew about that, this attempt to cover up. This is a couple of people. It isn’t just one.
BALDWIN: And on the people point, if the allegation is true, Bob, what does it say that White House officials, lawyers, wanted to cover it up?
BAER: You know, my guess, it’s a palace coup against Trump. And who knows what else they know at this point.
That sounds about right. Actual whistleblowers are alone. The Ukraine complaint seems to be the work of a group of people, supported by significant institutional power, not only in the intelligence community, but in the Democratic Party and the commercial press.

I'm guessing whoever wrote that article will be getting fired. Truth and reason goes against Rolling Stones grain

I feel dirty for agreeing with a Rolling Stone article.

They know that the deep state did better homework on the second whistleblower.
That’s why everyone is starting to discredit the first one.
Please don’t decide that RS is even remotely fair because they finally concluded what you already knew.

The WB was explicit about most of the information coming from his concerned colleagues.
This doesn't make him not a whistleblower.
It also has no bearing whatsoever on whether Trump acted corruptly or not.

The sub-headline, along with RS's cheer-leading of Bradley Manning as a WB, tells you everything you need to know about RS's intentions:

It’s an insult to real whistleblowers to use the term with the Ukrainegate protagonist
RS still desires the intended outcome. This is just RS's way of booing a coach who made a shitty call.

No. It was his failure to follow the WB legal procedures and his coordination solely Schitts and partisan hack lawyers that makes him a leaker and a criminal co-conspirator.

But I thought the deep state was tinfoil hat nonsense. An Aggie told me that.

Col Lang, he writes the blog Sic Semper Tyrannis, said the same thing.

This sounds like a CIA conspiracy designed to force Trump from office. The WH and NSC staffs are peopled by some political appointees and a horde of career people detailed from various departments of the Executive Branch; CIA, Defense, State, Justice , Treasury, etc. The lending agency selects the people who are lent. The opportunity for someone like Brennan who still has a lot of faithful followers at CIA to plant a group of informants and operatives in Trump's WH has been evident and remains so.
quote:
My instincts and the application of Occam's Razor lead me to the conclusion that there is an "operations room" somewhere that is coordinating the efforts to remove Trump from office in what does amount to a "soft coup d'etat." A fair minded person looking back over Trump's term will see that the attempts to undermine and bring him down began the day after his inauguration and have continued ever since in wave after wave of accusations and press induced frenzies. This cannot be accidental and it will continue through his second term if he has one.

The deep state is getting desperate and sloppy. Obstruction of justice stemming the Russian collusion was always the master plan and goal. They invested years and countless manhours in putting it together.
They knew that the collusion story was shite but it created enough smoke to get the mouth breathers on board. But it was just a pre-text that they thought would surely enrage Trump enough to lure him into a clear process crime.
But when that failed, they continued to play cute with the Mueller Report's "does not exonerate" conclusion. Following Mueller's dud of an appearance and Naddler's embarrassing shitshow of a committee hearing, they realized it was time to take Russia-Obstruction-gate, as well as Mueller and the Naddlers, out to the pasture.
Hence, we present to you Ukraine-gate, a blatantly and hurried manufactured crisis stemming out of a single phone call and the President's decision to temporarily delay funding. All of this materialized within a matter of weeks, not months or years. It is based on blatant lies and is being forced down the public's throat through open gaslighting by the MSM.
I continue to believe that this will backfire spectacularly.

Yep. Just like everything they've tried in the past & everything they'll try in the future. Trump knows their game, & he's using their game against them.

The article paints a very bleak picture of our intelligence agencies.
I’m always told by people like Hannity and Bongino that most of the rank and file are good folks. But if they are part of all these nefarious schemes and now are silent, how can they be?
