The House Intel Committee would NOT allow Roger Stone to publicly testify in front of U.S. citizens however his opening statement is here: LINK on Scribd. It's 26 pages but easy to read.

I sure wish the House Intel Committee would release the Q&A...we are probably going to need a FOIA request for that.

ETA: I just found out that this statement from Roger Stone was just released and will be his opening statement in front of the House Intel Committee. So, maybe we will get a chance to see the Q&A transcript after he testifies.

It's almost impossible to give good cliffs. He lays out the timeline and provides sources for all assertions. Cliffs would just make things more confusing. He also makes Adam Schiff look like a total lying fool.

didn't they cancel someone last week and make it public because that person dare defended themselves to the press with a statement? the dog and pony shows are the only work they are doing; and Burr is an irritating showboat.

Like he said you need to read through it as there is so much there. He basically calls out those with accusations against him as liars and misinforming.

IDK.

Burr is terrible. This is just the GOPe attempting to run out the clock.

Has any of these congressional investigative committee investigations resulted in any prosecutions? I don't recall one.

Yeah, I said it was 26 pages but it's double spaced with large font. After 26 pages are Roger's sources. It's also a quick read despite being 26 pages because Roger writes very well.

The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence canceled plans for President Trump’s longtime personal attorney to testify behind closed doors Tuesday on Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election, because the lawyer leaked his opening statement.

Michael Cohen had planned to blast White House opponents in his private Capitol Hill meeting for “choosing to presume guilt — rather than presuming innocence” in the entire Russia saga.

That caused the panel’s Republican chairman and ranking Democrat to cancel Tuesday morning’s interview, accusing Mr. Cohen of acting in bad faith.

“We were disappointed that Mr. Cohen decided to pre-empt today’s interview by releasing a public statement prior to his engagement with Committee staff, in spite of the Committee’s requests that he refrain from public comment,” wrote Sens. Richard Burr, North Carolina Republican, and Mark Warner, Virginia Democrat.

“As a result, we declined to move forward with today’s interview and will reschedule Mr. Cohen’s appearance before the Committee in open session at a date in the near future,” the statement added. “The Committee expects witnesses in this investigation to work in good faith with the Senate.”

Damn, give me a cookie. I read every bit of that. My recap, Stone is pissed about the false accusations and called out a handful of Democrats about their false information and innuendos. He is challenging the committee to bring to public view documents that the committee won't release.

To close, Stone is pissed.

It struck me that there was a great deal of "righteous indignation" in his tone...

It was a compelling statement...

He also provided data and timeframes to back up his assertion of all the false claims. But let's forget about that because... RUSSIANS1111!!

If he cross referenced his own timeline with the timeline suggested by the Nation article he should easily see the problem.

Roger was on Alex Jones yesterday talking about this. They released the statement publicly before so that everyone can compare notes to what the media reports afterword and point out all the lies/disinformation by the MSM.

Skimmed it. Basically said "no one can prove anyone did anything wrong" (including denying that Russia hacked the DNC) and claimed he's beening witch hunted. He also admitted to being in contact with Guccifer 2.0. and called some committee members out for making damaging statements and innuendo.

I don't think this is going to shut the probe down, but that's just a hunch.

You mean the article you referred to as "crap"? Now it's a valid data source?
