If reports are true, he cannot threaten a congressional committee and its chairman for doing their jobs, just because he tires of it.

He has given Trump the rope to hang him, and the President will likely be more than happy to oblige. If he made the threats he needs to be gone and gone now.

Without Rosenstein, Mueller loses his political protection. And a second Special Prosecutor likely gets named, which is the end of Hillary, and the FBI and Deep State coup too.

Out of a job and into a jail cell sounds like a good plan

Poor optics. I think it should happen, but the left is in a fervor at the moment. It should be investigated first.

Screw "optics". This is just another term for political correctness.

You're saying that President Donald Trump needs to be more politically correct?

I hope he is fired before seeing any rebuttals of the partisan memo or underlying support documents

You think these investigations are crazy now? Wait and see what happens if this comes to pass..

The two witnesses need to sign sworn testimony and maybe others will get brave.

All in good time, but it won’t be the president that fires him.

If he did it, and there are allegedly several witnesses including congressmen and reporters, he should be fired for cause immediately.

If he actually threatened them like that it is absurd that he hasn't been fired already.

I'm very skeptical this happened.

Rosenstein threats were a part of the memo or came out in another way?

If he really did try to use his office to intimidate a sitting Congressman in performance of his official duty, this isn’t going to turn out the way you hope it will.

That’s beyond J. Edgar Hoover shite. People aren’t having it anymore.

All Trump needs is a reason and this would be a good one.

That’s not at all what optics means. It’s amazing to see you demand one person needs an investigation to confirm allegations (think Roy Moore/Trump, etc.), yet think that if the allegations are against someone you don’t like then we should just fly by the seat of our pants.

That’s awfully leftist thinking now isn’t it?

Likely an Abuse of Power & Obstruction."

From what we know, Trump should not fire anyone. He’s probably winning the PR battle for the first time since the investigation was launched.

Trump obvuously knows more than we do, however. He usually makes the right decision.

Firing a Republican - Rosenstein would be a very bad move. Trump wiping out the Justice Department and FBI investigating him is Nixonian. How did it work for Dick?
