Comparatively speaking, he’s pretty conservative imo. His votes on abortion, Supreme Court, gun rights, oil/gas, etc. have all been in line with conservative viewpoints.
How much of that has gone towards LIMITING THE SIZE AND POWER OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT? I'd say that number is close to zero.

Robert Mann is a deranged idiot POS and anything he writes is excrement. A complete and total embarrassment to LSU.

Unless Cassidy puts a D next to his name, he had no shot. Those that are pro-Trump absolutely are not going to vote for him.

Apparently Mann is an even dumber cünt than I thought.

The only way Cassidy sees the inside of the Louisiana Capitol is if he is a visitor. He will never be elected governor, the real Republicans in this state will not let that happen. And the Democrats will not vote for a Republican, even a low-life one like Bill Cassidy!
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER...................

Democrats won't vote for him because he's a republican, an republicans hate him. Try as hard as you like. It ain't happening.

Robert Mann is the stupidest man alive. Cassidy is toast. Fifth or sixth place at best....
Spend energy focusing on actions of the Louisiana election commission. Fix our elections as we have illegitimate governor and mayors of our 2 largest cities...

I'm not campaigning for Cassidy. I just wish most of the posters on this board would admit that they were fine with him until he voted to convict Trump. They will find reasons now to justify not liking him, but in truth, it is solely because of that meaningless vote against Trump. Conservatism doesn't matter anymore apparently. You could be the farthest right guy ever, but voting to convict Trump is the only thing that matters.

Stop.
LA elections might be the most secure in the country.
JBE won because Republicans for JBE and Rispone was a turrible candidate
Latoya won because she had zero competition and the liberals in the city love her
Can't speak to EBR

No. YOU stop.
That sort of thinking isn't allowed around here anymore.
EBR Parish race last year was Broome (the incumbent Democrat) vs. Steve Carter (very pro-school voucher, conservative Republican). The 2020 EBR Parish census results alone show how Broome won re-election.

Ever since the impeachment vote, he went left on a lot of things. You're either oblivious or stupid to claim you're not aware of this. These stories have all been posted on this board for a while.
Being to the right on bullshite wedge issues isn't good enough anymore. That's how we got JBE.

God damnit. Why in the frick can this state not get just ONE competent conservative to run? I can see it now. We’re going to have to choose between another Democrat and fricking Cassidy.

Well the reality is that you've got to have someone who can raise money, and be raising it early for a race like Governor. Which means...someone who's been in the political game.
Everyone wants to rage against "career politicians", and while I agree with the sentiment, unless someone is going to start off heavily self-funding until they gain enough steam to draw large donations, then they've got to be willing to put up their own money. And LOTS of it to get their names out there.
I'm sure there will be one or two options of a "competent conservative" who ends up running. Sure, many on this board may nitpick them to death, because they will very likely come from previous political offices/arena (I don't see a self-financing conservative like Rispone throwing in, and Rispone had a shitty ground game when it came nut-cutting time vs. JBE). However, I believe that option will be there. It'll be up to Louisiana conservatives to rally behind that person, or to whine and moan the entire jungle primary season and gripe about the run-off options.

A thread like this would seem to be up BigJim's alley.

If you think it’s accurate, that’s all the rest of the readers need to know. Being as you are an idiot and all.
