Michigan doesn't do granular enough data capture to know voter party data (and they have open primaries), but taking poll data and past election votes into account makes a best guess around 30% of the state is registered GOP.

No idea what it is in Lansing, but it wouldn't shock me to find out that the few there are so beaten down that it's hard for the GOP to get enough local volunteers to be poll workers (poll workers can only be Michigan residents, no one from out-of-state).

One of dems standard tricks is to have a dem from a deep blue precinct switch party affiliation and become a "Republican" and then the ballot stuffing begins.

So the majority of poll workers are dems, or the poll workers are being stacked in dem areas?

Either way that's no surprise. Dems are more likely to volunteer to help their government. And dems live in more populated areas requiring more workers.

Help their government?

Sort of makes sense since government is your religion
