Then why the hell would anyone exchange even a grain of salt for your definition of a republican? Are random definitions of never trumpers injected into conversations that have diddly shite to do with never trumpism received well, or regarded as anything other than hogwash and zealotry?

My interpretation of what's a Repbulican and what's not a Repubilcan isn't formed by Trump occultists on message boards. It comes from learning. I have a pretty useless Political Science degree if it makes you feel better. We studied a lot of William Buckley and Reagan.

Claiming to be pro-life (even when you've probably paid for at least 10 abortions) and claiming to be pro-second amendment (although Trump showed us last month that he doesn't ecen know how to hold a gun) doesn't make someone a Republican.

It's makes them a con man and an opportunist.

Trump is not a Republican. He's an opportunist.

The funny thing about it, is that he may be able to get himself elected president, but he will have no more sway over his own party than he ever did. Which means they will spend 4 more years thwarting his agenda, and looking for opportunities to unite with their marxist democrat brethren to stab him in the back. If trump had any sense, he would have formed his own party in 2020, because he will never achieve anything as a republican.

Republicans complain about the questions in the second debate being framed through a liberal prism so the RNC does what? It gives the next debate to NBC, by far the most liberal of the major networks out there. Why don't you let Cenk Uygar and Kyle Kulinski moderate it while you are at it?

Putting a Republican primary debate on NBC is like hiring Shaq to teach your kid how to shoot free throws. Either the RNC is headed by the most politically inastute people in the country or they are headed by the poltical establishment. Either way it screams for new leadership. What it has now are the kind of people who hire someone with two broken thumbs as a carpenter.

It's intentional. The RNC isn't trying to elect "true Republicans".

It's trying to elect DC Republicans which are basically Demococrats and certainly aligned with Democrats.

Trump is smart enough to know he doesn't have neer enough support to pull this off. Best case he ends up like Perot getting another Democrat elected.

What states can he take without rank and file Republicans who would have a true conservative candidate or moderate conservative?

What does your political science degree say about using the man's name, ostensibly a person you despise, when you voluntarily define yourself, while simultaneously throwing out words like occultist in describing others?

I am a republican, but is it too much to ask for the person in charge to actually give a shite about his or her country?

I don’t care if it’s a boy or girl, republican or democrat, I just want someone who isn’t a corrupt politician who actually gives a shite about the country.

Imo, they only person that fits that description is Trump. Maybe he isn’t a great dude, maybe he doesn’t talk like a politician should talk, maybe he cares too much about himself, but the dude also cares about this country. A lot.

Burn the whole thing down. The entire government is corrupt on all sides.

Yet another case where squishy middle republicans are more like democrats than republicans. The Republican party has relied on conservatives holding their noses and voting for democrat lite candidates since Reagan. For some reason Trump supporters are not allowed to expect the same level of support.

The majority of this forum prefers Populists over Republicans/Conservatives.

bless your dumb little heart. the only thing wrong with that statement is that it should say all Republicans are really democrats. if you don't understand that, you're the useful idiot they refer to.

Depends on the populist. Marxist democrats are all about the tyranny of democracy and giving the people what they want as long as they are in control.

Don Bongino says it best when he says most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.

No, but I'm not a Democrat either. At this point I'd probably just be a Never Trumper.

From a mental health standpoint, an extreme clinical narcissist should never have anywhere near that much access to power (president of the United States).

Not trying to create a stigma around mental health, but Trump is bat shite crazy and it's ego first, country second.

Could it be that there comes a time when the country can't afford more democrat lite presidents/representatives? In the end, Trump will get the vote of a vast majority of conservative Trump skeptics, but frick - what's wrong with electing an actual conservative?

So I have a question for you.

If your only two choices are Biden and Trump, why in the world would you think that the country is better off with Biden? Do you not realize that this administration is running this country into the ground? I truly don’t understand.

Give me Hilary before Biden.
I would literally take anyone else.

Look man, I'm going to give you an answer and it's what I tell all of the people I know who are so gung ho about Trump, and you may not like it - but it's absolutely the truth. (and for the record, I don't like Trump or Biden)

The only reason we have Biden, is because of Trump. There's no way Joe Biden was going to run for President in 2020, but because of all of the bullshite that came with Trump, he got talked into it. So there it is...you may not like that, but it's 100% why we have Biden now. Nominate and select better conservatives and ditch the extremism, and we will not have to worry about people like Biden. Simple as that.
