Tell you what I do know. I had to pay $600 for a car tag for a 2009 pick-up truck when I moved back to Louisiana earlier this year.
I was told it was a “road-usage tax” implemented by our dear governor JBE to help pay for all his bullshite, because the roads ain’t no goddamned better than they were when I left Louisiana 15 years ago.
Glad I registered in time to vote for “anyone but JBE”.
