Massie did a really good job brainwashing a few people into thinking he was the last of the resistance or something.

No. That's the "zero" position.

We're talking about EG being worse in key policy areas, where being at zero is preferable.

The scale doesn't end at 0, is the problem with this argument. It can go negative.

Here is the problem chief. I agreed with Massie on most things. He would then turn around and nuke any legislation that did not suit him perfectly. In short, what good he did was negated and actually turned out to be a net negative. Baby steps then leaps with a congress so closely chaired. He can blame his loss on himself.

So you prefer politicians that compromise and vote against your wishes? No wonder Congress thumbs their noses at us.

Dude, have you kept op with Congress? Have you studied the things Massie basically shut down? Have you ever seen any bill that was 100% universally wanted? You are not realistic and therefore ridiculous in your assessment. That it why you, SFP, etc. are not taken seriously here.

Simple minded poster. You likely voted for Trump based on things he promised. Yet he we are with those promises broken. People who pay attention will hold their representatives accountable. Others who don’t, will listen to what dear leader says.

You're arguing it's for the better good to concede on making the government bigger in every scenario, effectively, as long as you get something out of that government expansion.

Huh? I’m reliably told he never got anything done.

No bills are better than bad ones—if you’re a fan of small government.

The “we want to grow government, just like the democrats, just at a slightly slower pace” is the GOPE’s decades long troll. It’s hard to believe people are still buying it.

Exactly. Government is already too big. Why is there such a push from "conservatives" to make it even bigger and add even more laws?

Which makes the NPC label of Massie as "GOPE" or "Rino" that much more ignorance-exposing and, vicariously, hilarious.

Literally, what the GOPE was paying during the Obamacare debate. “It could have been worse, we’ll get ‘em next time!”

This is why they effectively refuse to discuss this in terms of policy, and their favorite choice is relativism.

You had idiots on here trying to spin conversations into how bad/scary DEMs are....when discussing a GOP primary with no DEMs involved

Massie has been there 14 years.

How much has government grown in those 14 years?

Negative councilor. I am arguing that the hills that he planted his flag on were not reasonable at this moment in time.
