And you rushed to mock and dismiss the suggestion of any alternative treatment research.

No, I mocked him for stating it cured schizophrenia.

It would’ve been much easier to state the truth. “There is research that links a person‘s health or unhealthy diet to exacerbation or reduction in symptoms of schizophrenia. As you know, I am a big proponent of the effects of one’s diet on their physical well-being and mental well-being. I’ll be proposing funding for further research in this area. I strongly encourage everyone to eat healthy.”

Instead, he touted diet as a cure for schizophrenia.

I didn't see gut biome mentioned once, did you? I know you probably didn't get far in science, but all those beneficial gut bacteria feed off of carbohydrates. Cutting carbs does not help them one bit.

The link between gut health and mental health is well established.

Is the casual relationship between a keto diet and the curing of both schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, as RFK states, well established as well?

Right. He is saying it may be able to help treat these disorders. And he is correct. frickin retards don't want to listen to their own damn detriment because they stuff their frickin faces with Twinkies and don't want to stop.

It's not even about the twinkies... it's about absolutely twisting and trashing anything that man or his boss has to say- simply because they said it, the content doesn't even register.

Ok, great, that's what he should have done to begin with.

My concern is less about what he intends in that moment and more about how certain words function once they leave the speaker. especially from someone with a history of criticizing psychiatric meds. And speaking of psych meds, if a pharma CEO said "this drug cures schizophrenia" based on a couple of anecdotes, I think most people here (including me, btw) would immediately say "Hold on, that’s irresponsible language". It should apply to keto diet too, right?

Of course. He's reckless with language when it's his job to be precise. Lots of things can be helpful for chronic illnesses like schizophrenia, but that doesn't make them cures. To say that ketogenic diet cures schizophrenia implies that it's gone and doesn't return. There is no research that says that.

Useful idiots eat it up though, pun intended.

This is dumb, if it's true, share the studies. Stop dropping crazy claims without evidence.

So you don’t belive a healthy limited diet can’t help issues?

Right. Which is why I use the strong word "retard" to describe them.

This is an extremely dishonest recap of RFK's quote in the OP.

The recap is an extremely dishonest depiction of what RFKjr ACTUALLY said.

Now, I will say I only listened to the clip within the hit-post... maybe the full video tells a different tale. But the clip and the recap are absolutely at odds.

I just showed you the studies he is referencing.

That study showed symptom improvement. That isn't cure.

Then we should be equally concerned with the twisted synopsis the Xposter gave of the clip.

I will never be mad at a health agent preaching a whole food diet.

The vast majority of posters on here are eating the standard American diet along with fast food several times a week (just look at all the fast food threads started on here) these foods are loaded with fake/artificial sweeteners, flavorings, preservatives, colors, emulsifiers, etc that absolutely can and will impact someones metal well being along with their health. Most of the stuff now on the interior of grocery stores isn't even real food - its fake processed garbage.

Blah blah blah. It's a very complex thing and not nearly as straight forward as you're trying to make it out to be.

So he didn't say he saw a study where person X "cured schizophrenia" and another one where they "cured bipolar?"
