Being low on certain vitamins, amino acids, and minerals is an underlying cause for sure.

Your telling me, if the son of Rob Reiner decided to do a keto style diet he would not have killed both of his elite hollywood parents.

You do understand that the intestinal biome, and the bacteria that make it up, control most a lot of body processes, cravings and hormonal issues that we dont completely understand.... They are studying the fact that the chemical signaling from these bacteria probably plays a part in most mental illness, so this could be very true.

16 pages of nonsense, did anyone actually lookup “ketogenic diet” and “seizure”?

What do seizures have to do with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder?

RFK has been hit and miss. Keto linked to schizophrenia? I think he means weed is related to schizophrenia.

Gut health is absolutely linked to mental wellness. These people are frickin stupid.

Countless studies for decades have proven that both BP and Schizophrenia are largely genetic. They have affirmed this with many twin studies (including twins reared apart).

Now, it's not 100% genetic. Genetics accounts for about 80% of the risk. On the other hand, people who don't have the genetic profile won't develop those disorders.

Well, I know one thing for an absolute certainty, and that’s that our food industry is getting people sick, and it doesn’t take someone with a medical degree to look at the back of a package and the list of ingredients, most of which is solely in there to increase shelf life, and see that as reality. It’s not normal, and America is a very sickly country. But I guess as long as corporations own us lock stock and barrel, and are making huge money off of it, it’s all good, but is it really?

Did you actually read any of those links, or just googled “studies about both schizophrenia and and epilepsy” and pasted the first 5 as if it’s relevant at all to this discussion? You’re adorable.

Anyone who would bring up how epilepsy is treated in a discussion about whether keto diet “cures” schizophrenia clearly knows diddly poo about either disease. Nice try though

I’m convinced a lot of these idiots have been paid off by the likes of Pfizer to peddle nonsense and distract people from the facts

1000%.

And your typical moron doctor - which is most of them - has no clue about epigenetics. Shut up and clean a bed pan.
