Republicans ‘win’ on a few minor social issues and we still have a welfare state, endless foreign wars and foreign aid, an ever growing surveillance apparatus, Obamacare, etc, etc, etc. Modern day Republicans are too worried about the other guy ‘winning’ to take definitive moral stances on important issues, compromising themselves and us into socialism.
