regret rates were extremely low
Think about this statement for a second.
Let's just take it at face value, and put a number on it since they didn't bother. Let's say it's correct, and the number of regret is 5%.
This isn't a regret like you decided to get a stupid tribal tattoo on your arm in 1996, or get an asinine haircut, or even picked the wrong major and had to change it three years in.
The regret here is being castrated, having double mastectomies, having your sexual function obliterated long before you even know what that means.
If we have ONE job as parents/adults it's to protect our kids from incredibly stupid decisions they want to make when they're too young to know any better. We're protecting 35 year old them from 15 year old them, the same way our parents did.
So even if there are a tiny few that regret it, that's still CHILDREN that were allowed/talked into destroying their future selves by adults who should have been protecting them. Any number is enough to shut this down 100%.

You really want to see kids reject their bodies don't you?
Childness predators.

They did put a number. It says less than 1%.

Why take the heat for not supporting it if it’s mute anyway?

Ive never had a trans kid so I dont wanna force the 30 or so trans kid's parents hands on how to deal with it.
It's called empathy.

Because he is term locked. He doesnt have to vote for things to score points even if he doesnt believe in them anymore.

Exactly what I thought.
1) that’s Medicaid policy. Not law.
2) it allows for top surgery under 18
So you’re wrong in every way you could be wrong.

Why are you linking LHCC policy as if it's state law?

Because s/he is way out of her depth here.

Any you believe that?

it is more comprehensive to list them all in one article rather than a different link for
? Orchiectomy
? Penectomy
? Vaginoplasty
? Urethroplasty
? Mammaplasty
? Clitoroplasty
? Vulvoplasty
? Labiaplasty

Children cannot meaningfully consent to this. Wanting minors to hit the age of 18 before lobbing off perfectly healthy tissue is empathetic because adults know how little 14 year olds know.

show me 1 example of a child getting gender reassignment surgery in Louisiana.

Show me one slave in Louisiana. We're passing that law, why not this one?

Good, so we're not upsetting anyone by passing this bill.

I don't understand the mentality of being mad at the person that points out your politicians straight up lied to you about chikdren being mutilated in order to scare you.
What about the mentality of people that straight up lied about laws to prevent children from being mutilated that straight up don’t exist, just so they can prevent an actual law to prevent the mutilation of children from being passed?
Oh, and tell us all again how you aren’t another run of the mill progressive dumbass.

Louisiana republicans are the most feckless politicians in America.

i was misinformed. there isn't a law on the books, only policy from doctors/insurance policies. blue cross blue shield also requires the patient to be 18.
I just find it hilarious how when it came to covid treatment it was, "why don't we trust doctors with patient care instead of the government preventing them"
now it is "why should we trust doctors with patient care? we need laws telling them they can't use these methods to treat minors"
the left and the right are mirrors.
