First here are the guidelines set for restaurants

50% capacity
Workers must wear gloves and masks
Hand sanitizer must be available at front door
Must check temperature of customers.

I went to a local diner that opened back yesterday for lunch.

Every table was occupied, about 90% capacity. A few chairs were empty. Half the customers were 60 yrs old or older. All were white. They didn’t check our temps. Not a single person, worker or customer, had on a mask.

Nobody gives a damn anymore. Time to drop the draconian bullshite and open things up fully. We want our freedom

Time to end the hoax. This has certainly been the greatest and dumbest overreaction in my lifetime and it's caused an unnecessary self inflicted wound. I agree, we need to go back to 100% open and let people get back to living instead of just existing.

It's hard to keep people terrified of a scary pandemic that isn't remotely scary for 99.9% of the nation.

This is the reality.

No one is doing anything. If Rapides Parish only has 300 cases, then let her rip, because every one of us has been bumping into each other shoulder to shoulder in Kroger, Sams and Lowes for weeks.

We have tentative plans to eat at Captain Al's tonight. I was worried about seating and a potential wait. Hope they are following the same protocols as the restaurant where you ate.

Our routine 3 month checkup was yesterday and my doctor called it a hoax, as did the NP. He normally is a supporter of all things medical, but he called this "a media driven hoax" and while he did say that the virus is real he said that calling it a pandemic is pure fraud

I have been disappointed here in Houston- some restaurants still have take out only and some had spacing so far apart it is a joke!

Going to the Mall when it opens today, curious to see what/how much is truly 'open'...

Time will tell. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with infection rates in a couple of weeks.

Spoke with two restaurant GM’s yesterday who still are doing take out only and they said they were having trouble finding help. No help = no open doors

Honestly there aren’t many of these around here. More of a suburban thing. The delta is just rednecks, blacks, and a lot of wealthy farmers and their wives and pretty much all 3 groups give 0 fricks

The Mexican restaurant here is apparently following all the “rules” but my guess is they don’t want any attention at all from LE due to illegals working in the back

Every other local restaurant seems to not care. Fast food is still drive thru only but that’s likely due to a company wide thing across the nation

Went to a restaurant last night and our waitress said some jackass called and was saying "y'all are at more than 50% capacity. I can tell by how many cars are out front". She told the guy to come in and count, make a reservation or piss off.

Where’s the cops and heavily armed SWAT? They may need to storm the restaurant and remove criminals!

as a reference to your Dr's assertion, I give you the following quote from the WHO's website;

For Reference

quote:

11 March 2020

Deeply concerned both by the alarming levels of spread and severity, and by the alarming levels of inaction, WHO made the assessment that COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic.

Based upon the WHO's own admission, one of the reasons for the declaration was "inaction"...

Seems like a strange criteria for a Pandemic declaration... Doesn't sound very "Scientific" to me..
