This is why they didn't want Trump to win.
They all have skeletons. All of them.

Is any of that illegal. Didn't congress shoot down the bill on insider trading being illegal?
Congress does not have to follow the rules that we have to follow. Yet, hmmmmmm, it is illegal for them to pass laws that they are exempt from???? hmmmmm.

Take them all dow
Big problem.
The ones to take them down are the ones doing the same crimes.

With the vast majority of politicians today being bought and paid for sleezebags a Constitutional Convention would be the end not the beginning.

The terms can be established at the calling of the convention which would constrain the actions taken to force the scope to be limited to a single issue, such as Congressional term limits, etc.
To be sure, there is a high level of ideological purity required that most career state politicians likely don't possess. That same philosophical gulf - political lifer vs Founding Father mentality is half the problem we currently face.
If someone rolled up into Philadelphia in the 1776 and told the gentlemen in Independence Hall that they aspired to be a career politician, the kindest thing that would've happened to them would've been to have gotten run out of town on a rail.
The more likely response would've been less... savory.
