Also, Britain has evidence Russia tried to carry out an assasination on UK soil a couple weeks ago and Theresa may expelled all Russian diplomats from UK last week.

That said, all of the criticisms of the trump-putin call have had absolutely nothing to do with any of those things. 100% of the criticism is focused on the fact that we don’t want to be congratulating quasi-dictators on maintaining their quasi-dictatorships by scaring off competitors and rigging their domestic “elections”. Which makes a ton of sense, that’s sensible policy. But this was absolutely and unequivicaly also the case when Obama congratualted Putin for his last win.

I agree that Trump is not being nearly tough enough on a legitamite geopolitical foe. But it’s so damn hard to convince others to agree when y’all are constantly losing your shite over him doing exactly what his predecessor was praised for.
