Obama told Putin he looked forward to Putin’s May visit to Camp David for the G-8 summit and the two talked about how they could benefit economically from Russia’s joining the WTO, the statement explained.
That could be a reference to administration efforts to get Congress to repeal the 1974 Jackson-Vanik law that prevents the U.S. from giving Russia permanent normal trade status. Some in Congress are resisting that because of Russia’s deteriorating record on democracy, rule of law, and human rights.

Back in 2012 then president Barrack Obama called Vladimir Putin to congratulate him on his shocking rigged election win.
Guess what happened?
There was literally one — count them- one article published about it in Foreign Policy magazine (a publication that is largely only read by foreign policy academics and reporters).
Now, in all honesty, there was a scandal that also hit shortly after Obama congratulated Putin that the media covered, but not in the way you might guess…. they attacked Republicans.

Medvedev then declared, in what certainly paints then-President Obama as Putin’s-puppet-to-be, “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”
When Russian conspiracy site CNN ran the story ran the story they ignored Obama’s ineffectualness and obvious desire to win an election, over American interests, and choose to focus on Republicans once again. “Republicans seized on Obama’s request as an opportunity to frame the president as a politician primarily focused on re-election.”

And Obama knew about the election interference efforts before during and after the election and he was still mocking trump weeks before the election about how it was "impossible" to mess with our elections. So what does that say about Obama if this was such a horrible problem? Where was the outage from the media back in Oct. 2016?
