Remember during the govt shutdown

When govt workers, who many are union, were constantly paraded on TV by the media saying how dire their situation was for missing a paycheck?
Notice who is not getting a paycheck and seems to be completely fine, and seems to be ready to hold out as long as it takes? To the delight of the media?
Another lesson in how easy it is to dupe the libs and stir their feeble minds up.

Excellent observation.

Threatening? They are striking. Have been for days.
The common theme is the world was ending for poor government workers who were forced to leave their posts where they evidently do a years worth of work in a month .... and GM workers are heroes who are flush with cash and are evidently able to strike for as long as it takes with no adversity.

I remember all the deaths.

It is harder to drum up sympathy for people making 63 dollars an hour. Especially if those people had another job they would be making about 20-30.
It is not like they are highly skilled.

They aren't making $63 an hour.

The government forced people to work with out pay
The other voluntary left work saing i wont work until i get ( fill in the blank))
Not comparable
Also not all government employees are part of a union.

Na. The deaths were caused by the tax cuts.

Let’s see... you have two groups who are seen as almost lock step left voting blocs and you have two groups who are not working.
One group was suffering and dying after one week and media was apoplectic.
The other group is strong, resilient, and in great shape after almost a week off the job and the media is fawning.

The people with my degree and experience aren't able to go on strike, so it's not comparable, not that you were trying to make an honest effort.
They can't go anywhere else with their skills and knowledge and make what they're making now.

Yeah, I don't think the OP thought this through very well.

According to NBC news when you factor in benefits they do indeed make $63/hour.

They still get paid a portion of their checks. Plus, the government forced people to work without pay. You're trying to say that getting paid some of your check for not showing up to work is the same thing as not getting a paycheck for actually working.

The government workers were paid in full. No one was forced to work without pay. No one. That’s like saying someone who works for a monthly salary is not getting paid because his secretary is paid weekly.
And the UAW is forcing people to not work. You really don’t think that absolutely no one would be working if they would not be accosted by the UAW do you?

WSJ reporter said the average GM worker makes $95K a year. Somebody else can do the math for the hourly.
