How is having every officer testify about the two ways to carry a taser not cumulative? What is the point of asking this?

I will never understand why that entire taser isn't bright yellow and why it has a pistol like grip. That is insane to me and I'm shocked there isn't more confusion between pulling the taser and a gun.

gonna get him to demonstrate a "spark test" for... reasons

ETA: I found the reason... the sound the taser made likely just woke the jury back up

The State has to prove that even if Potter had pulled the taser that it would have been reckless to use it in that situation. My guess is they had him do the spark test because it sounds scary.

How much longer can this trial possibly go? Surely there is not that many witnesses left on the witness list.

Which is insane. The State has wasted an insane amount of time on testimony that is not relevant to the case at all.

this case could've been over (ETA: jury selection to verdict) during 1 standard work week if we were being efficient

Agreed.

In other news, Chauvin is pleading guilty to the federal charges and the McMichaels will be sentenced in early January.

if this was... in fact... the prosecution's star witness...

this case is dead... there was nothing there on direct that tells you she did anything criminally negligent
