Ops Manager at Target now being questioned as a potential juror
ETA: possibly high... definitely tired after working a 15-hour Ops Managing shift at Target dude seated as the 3rd juror
and we go to lunch break to 1:30 PM

we're up to 10 jurors seated
I believe they said they need the 12 jurors & 2 alternates... so I think we're 4 jurors away from being able to get this trial started
sounds like the jurors will be sequestered during jury deliberations but not during the trial itself
also... Rekeita said the prosecution apparently asked for the up-charge on the possible punishments... meaning if the defendant is found guilty then she could face a much higher sentence than what the sentencing guidelines suggest should 1-900-JUDGE agree with the prosecution's request

they're calling back a juror who was seated back on day 1 for extra questioning

oh goodness... this potential juror... 1st year law student who works in city management and believes there needs to be criminal justice reform and more equity needed in criminal justice
defense attorney still questioning her... not sure why the defense hasn't struck her already (ETA: other than to get more of her BS on the record so it can't be argued when he moves to strike her)
ETA2: potential juror has an unfavorable opinion of Blue Lives Matter... get her off the stand now... send her home... keep her far away from this jury

defense down to its final strike... just struck a woman who seemed to be a good defense juror... until she said on her questionnaire that a defendant who doesn't take the stand makes her wonder what the defendant has to hide

and somehow the judge forwarded this juror to the attorneys for further questioning instead of immediately striking her
ETA: nevermind... juror struck for cause and no objection to the judge doing that from the prosecution (obviously the defense wouldn't object to getting rid of that potential juror)
