Reddit: Are people really this delusional?

I honestly haven't ever spent much time on Reddit in my life till a few weeks ago. Even then, mostly true crime. But, now I've found a group or two dealing with my career, so that's been mildly interesting.
However, I just stumbled upon a crowd of people trying to make serious plans to leave the USA simply because they feel that Trump is the 2nd coming of Adolph. They're terrified. They actually think they'll find a place somewhere in the world where they will be totally accepted for who and what they are. Basically, a utopian Candyland.
How soft ARE people nowadays?
I can't imagine packing up all of my earthly possessions and relocating to a foreign country where I'll be treated like the prince I am.
These people are fricking nuts.

Reddit is great for niche topics.
Anything related to politics, news, cities/states, or a sub with 1 million followers is 100% controlled propaganda.
Most threads like your OP are either larping trolls or propaganda shills.
Sadly the majority of people who use Reddit are too dumb to realize this.

The only people that will leave will be wealthy celebrities that make a huge spectacle of it. They'll retreat to their overseas vacation villas for a few weeks, but then be back once the next role, show, or awards ceremony rolls around. Nothing but virtue signaling.
