Get back to us when you want to talk about the black vote going 95%+ democrat every election and yet blacks are worse of in many objective ways since doing so.

Well duh the worst states in the union vote republicans.

New York went bankrupt and wanted a federal bailout. California was on the brink of bankruptcy. Michigan needed the federal government to fix their water supply that was killing people. Chicago is being crushed by violence.

Those states voted Republican? Who'da thunk it?

So are you suggesting that a minority group voting for individuals who seem to have their best interest somehow created a situation where they can no longer prosper?
You do realize that as long as blacks are the minority they will ALWAYS have to rely on the majority for any serious policy and decision making.

Good try, but better luck next time. Next time dont divert too far away from the subject. (I guess you were looking for a way to interject race into it, couldn't wait huh?)

the OP may be a dummy... but Medicare is a completely federal program. There is nothing for a state to vote on.

So if the state did vote... it has to be Medicaid. (given the only possibilities are Medicaid/Medicare).

And we have already gone through why the states are doing this. Same reason LA does. With the reimbursement rules for medicaid expansion vs unreimburse care, it makes 100 percent fiscal sense, today, for a state, especially a state with budget issues (hello, Kansas, hello, Louisiana) to accept expanded Medicaid.

Now, a few years down the road, it will be a disaster. But since when has a politican from EITHER party given a rat's rear about what happens a few years down the road?

Damn, even the Kansas leg is done with Brownback's Freedom Caucus approach to economics.

Republicans also realized that there were actually some good things that Obamacare had. Because they fought so hard to repeal it while Obama was in office (they were playing politics) now they will have to answer to their constituents if repealing it, will do more harm than good to the base they represent.

They are basically trying to find a way to keep some of the provisions without completely abolishing it.

THE FACT THAT THEY HAD HOW LONG TOP COME UP WITH AN ALTERNATIVE AND STILL HAVEN'T, SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING.

The current crop of GOP legislators and congress-critters we have, are much more suited to being the loyal opposition party, than to being the leading party.
