Record low temps can't keep happening. The world is supposed to burn up and flood.

Record low -35 degrees recorded in Logan Canyon sink

quote:

The coldest temperature ever recorded in October in the continental United States — minus-35 degrees — was logged in Peter Sink east of Logan early Monday morning.

But the record might not last long. Another all-time low mark is expected to be reached at the same location overnight on Wednesday.

An area long known for record cold temperatures, Peter Sink is home to two weather-monitoring stations built by Campbell Scientific in Logan and maintained by the Utah Climate Center at Utah State University.

The monitor at the bottom of the sink took the minus-35 degree reading at approximately 6:15 a.m. Monday — breaking a more than 100-year-old record of minus-33 Fahrenheit set on Oct. 29, 1917, in Soda Butte, Wyoming.

Duhh that's why they call it CLIMATE CHANGE and not global warming anymore. That way we can blame any weather we want on capitalism!

You must've been banned the month of Oct when the south was almost daily breaking or nearly breaking a record high. Because if you weren't banned then you'd been making tons of posts about it. Right? Consistency and all.....

Yes, it is getting colder in North America, but the rest of the planet still has a fever.

Isn't New York supposed to be underwater by now from the melting polar ice caps?

Peter Sinks is located 8,100 feet (2,500 m) above sea level, in the Bear River Mountains east of Logan, within the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Due to temperature inversions that trap cold nocturnal air, it routinely produces the coldest temperatures in the state. Even in the summer, the bottom of the sinkhole rarely goes four consecutive days without freezing. It is so cold near the bottom of the hole that trees are unable to grow.

A bit more information on this location.

It would seem its a unique combination of geology and weather that causes this.

eta-It can be 40 degrees warmer at the rim, just a few hundred feet from the bottom of the hole.

But it's not just this location:
quote:

This year’s end of October forecast sure is looking spooky. Spooky cold, that is.

Denver could come close to, if not potentially set its coldest October temperature on record this week as two waves of Arctic air blast through the region.

Denver’s current coldest October temperature on record is a -2 degree reading back on Oct. 29, 1917.

The National Weather Service’s current forecast projects a low temperature of just 1 degree on Wednesday night, which would place it just behind the 1917 reading for the coldest October temperature title. However, some computer model forecasts have indicated Wednesday’s low could sink even further, meaning it’s possible the mercury could fall as low as Denver’s seen in its recorded history for the month of October.

These record or near record low temps are not supposed to happen in high concentration CO2 atmospheres.

ETA: I'm told that high CO2 atmosphere are supposed to burn up and Venus is proof.

You haven't heard? NASA Study: Mass Gains of Antarctic Ice Sheet Greater than Losses. Climate alarmists claim this is offsetting the supposed sea level rise.

https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/nasa-study-mass-gains-of-antarctic-ice-sheet-greater-than-losses

Doesn't have to be colder to make more ice AND KEEP IT?

Dude, don't you understand anything? When it gets colder that means it's getting hotter. Sheesh!

How is this possible? CO2 is supposed to make the earth's troposphere warmer.

Yes they are.

I know you're never going to stop teasing "alarmists", but continuing to conflate weather with climate does absolutely nothing for your argument.
