Sheesh people.

It's a spinoff thread

Count Sick's house in. Just told the wife the other day that if she didn't quit dropping shite that we were going back to carpet. Even a damn earring sounds like a rifle going off when it hits that laminate floor.

But what prompted this topic?

People ignoring science thinking that we should be ok with the complete waste of money that is women trying out for special forces units in the military.

I always point out that every year, MULTIPLE high school boys break the women's record in the Mile.

Typically, multiple boys in INDIVIDUAL states do it!

Is this about a specific subject or did this just randomly come up?

I'll give an example:

If I need a car to get me 100 miles without stopping; then ANY car that can go 100 miles on a tank of gas is "qualified". The fact that you have a car that can go 450 miles on a tank of gas is a "better" performer. But, it is irrelevant. Once I get to 100 miles - that is good enough to get the job done.

Another:

I am LOT stronger than my wife. But, she is plenty strong enough to carry a sack of groceries upstairs. We are BOTH qualified to do that job. I am stronger by a lot. But, the extra strength isn't really needed for the job.

Whatever physical tests you like. Just give me 10 of each that scored the same.

Now. Give professional trainers 3 months with each group.

Even burpees and toes to bar?

Well yes.

But, this is a spinoff thread and no one is simply asking people to meet a minimum qualification. In reality, once those are met, we expect those people to COMPETE with opposing people who also meet them.

As such, while it is true that both you and your wife can carry the groceries up the stairs..........if we need it done faster, or if the bags get heavier, I'm calling BHP.

Or, more to the point, BHP is going to show up and say, "isn't that cute..........watch this" and kick her arse.

Which, I suppose wouldn't matter if the fact he kicked her arse didn't put ANOTHER sack carrier in danger.

OK, and the top 10% of the women will still be bigger faster and stronger than the bottom 40% of men. What is your point?
I think your percentages are way off.

How many women can dunk a basketball? In the WNBA there are only a few. Literally can be counted on one hand, and those are the elite of the elite. So there are probably only literally a handful of women in the world who have dunked a basketball.

I know a lot of fairly average men who could dunk at one point in their life. There are literally millions of men who have dunked a basketball.

Yup

And at the end, when both groups get ready to fight, my group is kicking your group's arse.

Cause yeah. Unfortunately, in combat, you don't get to pick your event.

Go out and test a bunch of men and women. Like thousands. When you're done. Find 10 of each that scored the exact same thing on all the tests.

In 1998, Serena and Venus Williams both bragged that they could beat any male tennis pro ranked outside of the top 200. Karsten Braasch, a player ranked #203 challenged both of them. They accepted.

He started by playing a set against Serena, and beat her 6-1 (after starting 5-0). The biggest surprise was that she took a game.

Venus then swapped out for Serena. Braasch beat Venus 6-2. He was obviously not even playing as hard as he could, and made beating them look easy.

Afterwards, Braasch laughingly recommended they repeat the challenge, but against a male player ranked outside of the top 500 to make that match "fun". Never happened.

Give a man enough time to get ready, and he'd be better at that, too.

And those chicks are half dude.

Look at Michell Wie, she is a pretty good female golfer, but gets DESTROYED every time she tries to take on the men.

Then you suck at coaching if you dont think reaction time is different in 60 feet versus 90 feet, so try harder...

Here is another stat that I just did some research on to show how much more athletic men are than women.

Florence Griffith-Joyner set the women's 100 meter dash record back in 1988. She shattered it and it has never been broken. She ran it in 10.49 seconds. The second fastest time ever was 10.76 by Evelyn Ashford. Keep those numbers in mind.

I just looked up the fastest high school boys 100 meter dash times JUST THIS YEAR. Just 2018.

85 high school boys from the U.S. had run faster than Flo-Jo's women's world record 10.49.

560 HIGH SCHOOL boys from the U.S> ran a 10.76 or faster JUST THIS YEAR. That's the women's 2nd fastest time EVER in the history of the world.

And those are just high school boys in 2018. That's not even counting all the boys who ran in 2017, 2016, 2015, etc counting back decades. That's not counting high school boys from other countries. And that's not counting college athletes and professionals around the world.

Then you suck at physics because a softball crossing the plate is a hell of a lot slower than a baseball at 90 mph.
The density of the baseball creates a much bigger boo boo than a softball.
Wanta try again?
