Here is another stat that I just did some research on to show how much more athletic men are than women.

Florence Griffith-Joyner set the women's 100 meter dash record back in 1988. She shattered it and it has never been broken. She ran it in 10.49 seconds. The second fastest time ever was 10.76 by Evelyn Ashford. Keep those numbers in mind.

I just looked up the fastest high school boys 100 meter dash times JUST THIS YEAR. Just 2018.

85 high school boys from the U.S. had run faster than Flo-Jo's women's world record 10.49.

There are NO exceptions to this pattern.

The idea that these super women are somehow kinda competitive with men is a complete hollywood creation.

I'm 51 and not even that big.............and I'd beat the frick out of Rousey. I might even kill her.

It's silliness.

Then you suck at coaching if you dont think reaction time is different in 60 feet versus 90 feet, so try harder...

...and you're a moron if you don't consider 95 mph vs 60 mph.

quote:

The average D1 pitcher throws 58-62 and tops out at 65mph. So for the sake of argument we’ll use 64mph as a baseline for reaction time. This will give us a reaction time of: .405 seconds. Now lets look at MLB. The average fastball last year was 92.0 MPH and there are many pitchers who hit 100mph including Aroldis Chapman who has hit 105. If we use the average fastball speed of 92mph, the actual reaction time is: 0.400 seconds. Shorter than softball. All that to say, at almost all levels of baseball and softball the reaction times are very similar and don’t justify having a different swing.

Just looked up the 200 meter dash. Flo-Jo has the women's record at 21.34 seconds.

Just this year, 116 high school boys from the U.S. ran at least a 21.34.

The second fastest woman to ever run the 200 meter dash was Heike Drechsler who ran it in 21.71.

Just this year, 365 high school boys just from the U.S. ran the 200 meters at least that fast.

Like I said. There are literally zero exceptions to this pattern.

There are a few events where women aren't quite as absurdly embarrassed. But, they are ALL absurdly embarrassed.

To be totally honest and fair, the MMA argument is iffy for me. Ronda Rousey would be similar to Flo-Jo in my example. The elite of the elite in women's MMA.

She wouldn't even come close to beating a ton of decently trained male fighters... just like Flo-Jo wouldn't come close to beating any decent male sprinters. But just how Flo-Jo would smoke the average male, Rousey would most likely smoke the average male of a similar size. (Although probably not to the extent of Flo-Jo because the women's talent pool in MMA is pretty shallow).

I was using the sprinting world records to demonstrate how large the gap is between men and women. I wasn't suggesting the elite of the elite women are a joke and couldn't beat the average Joe.

Because it's a discussion of physical differences?

A discussion? It seems like you just stated a fact. Did you want a pat on the back or is there a follow-up argument?
