Well....i suppose that Gallgher is now exempt from legal detention but the pardon doesn't exempt him from possible dismissal from the US Navy?

This was inevitable. Navy Leadership is extremely thin skinned and don't like being bitched slapped by civilians.

Unfortunately for him, the POTUS is the Commander in Chief and so all his military knowledge should help him understand what happens when he gets bucked.

He isn’t defying Trump. He still has his rank but he’s being boarded to see if he’s still fit for service in the SEALS. In the Army we had a similar mechanism for pilots called an FEB (flight evaluation board). They could take your wings for a variety of different reasons.

Not that I disagree with you, but that guy pictured is also a seal. You can see his trident under his collar. Which is weird for a seal because they will normally tell you and then promote their book.

They probably want to make him persona non grata. He wouldn't be able to go back for SEAL events and stuff. Sort of excommunicating him from the SEAL community. That would be my guess.
