Why did they get tested?
So they got tested because their sister(my other cousin) has downs. So they aren’t going to go home until the get a negative test. They are going tomorrow I think for first re test

That sucks. I know asymptomatic people that tested positive for a month.

I swear you post the most nonsense about covid here. Facts are clearly eluding your grasp lately.

Never underestimate the utter stupidity of the Louisiana voter.

Why don't you just wish for a smarter, more informed population?

I thought I read that Houston hospitals were at 90% capacity. Was I just imagining that? It’s possible, I took a gnarly nap today
Total COVID patient occupancy in the TMC system is at 14%. General bed usage for COVID patients is 12%. ICU usage is 27%. The latter is the more urgent piece.
As of yesterday, Houston was at 3% available ICU bed capacity, based on normal bed count. 362 beds were in use by COVID patients. There are 373 beds ready to be made available in addition to normal capacity for long term use. And an additional 504 beds ready to be made available for short term surges. General bed capacity outside of ICU beds isn't in any immediate danger.
In other words, there is ICU capacity for 3x more COVID patients, assuming no discharges, before shite really gets bad.

You are hands down one of the dumbest posters on this site. Easily.
JBE has sucked through this whole thing, hanging on to closures and hoping to run up enough in spending to get fed matching.
The entire state should have never been shut down because NOLA was struggling.
Abbot and DeSantis have done extremely well so far as have the governors of AR and CO

Yea, I see that. Seems like a reasonable measure if expectations are to hit emergency surge very soon.
What did I say that was wrong? I basically summarized the article you posted. COVID accounts for 1,211 of over 19,000 hospital beds, including 362 of 1,330 ICU beds, according to TMC.
The most interesting thing I learned from the Houston area information was an area populated by 6.5 million people has an ICU capacity of 1330 beds, and expects to normally operate at 70-80%. That's a pretty thin margin.

Did you read your own article dipshit? That is only one hospital. And only 27% of ICU is covid.

...sorry...
Just a link for facts because appeared people were throwing various comments and it is a good article stating the situation here in one large city in Texas...
Our mayor has been very pro active and thus the reason we are concerned but will react properly... but he has done this sorta in spite of our gov instead of with... as did the mayors of our other large cities... fortunately our gov and mayors work together when needed...
My point is our mayors not governor have been the wiser people in this effort... I am disappointed in our governor which surprises me a little...

I also live in Houston. Have for over a decade. Know a lot of people in Houston. No one. No one I know gives a flying frick what Turner thinks and changes the channel anytime him and Lina feel a need for attention via press conference.
