Yeah, all those mountains in western Florida really tore the storm apart.

There’s no possible way you’re actually from near the gulf coast and making that comment
Sarcasm bro.

There’s no way 140 mph storm slows to 99 mph just inland over coastal marsh.

I really don’t think you’re understanding the conversation.
I really don't think Vancouver is reporting 150mph winds today, even though that is what they are experiencing .... at 30000ft. Care to guess why?

Oh my. It was really a rhetorical question.

But okay, most Vancouver structures do not extend to that altitude. Most Vancouver residents don't walk around at that altitude. Ocean surge is directly unaffected by winds at that altitude. So wind speeds at that altitude don't concern citizens there. Get it?

Do you think there might be a reason why high altitude winds in Vancouver isn't newsworthy?

Do you think there might be a reason why high altitude winds in Helene, assuming they even occurred in the velocities promoted (a big assumption) aren't newsworthy?

I bet Atlantans are sure glad they didn't come to fruition.

We have a bunch of leaves down in the yard. Probably fell at half again the rate we saw earlier in the week.

You don’t think measurements of a natural disaster are newsworthy?

That’s pretty wild.

The Poli board... the only place you'll see people getting pissed off because the really, really bad weather predicted for them didn't actually happen.
