Scandals come up during elections all the time. How am i supposed to know. All that matters is that if he did it he is unfit for office. Not looking good for him.

I may have somewhat poorly attempted to explain why people tend to, or are prompted to share this.
My wife and I dated, got married, and our first child was 2 years old before she ever mentioned this. I can’t recall exactly what was going on that prompted her to share something, that she said she hadn’t talked with anyone about in 15? years since she told her Mom?
There has been nothing argumentative about the incident since. But it comes up, like it does with the Roy Moore news. And I agree, these accusations could be completely false.
What I do understand is why someone would bring such accusations to the fore during an important election, especially if that person has had the apparent beleaguered life this woman has had. It’s opportunistic yes, but kinda understandable?
My wife and I? We don’t care about that guy he proved himself a low-life. And I can’t be expected to go find a dude who did obscene things when my wife was 11 lol. We just have loose ends with her Mom to tie up.
But I can understand someone with nothing going for them, feeling emboldened to go after someone important, especially in this climate. We wouldn’t do it but w/e it’s politics.
And remember, she wasn’t looking to take anyone down. Apparently these are long-standing rumors about Roy Moore, just like a lot of this filth in Hollywood, that WaPo decided to investigate
