She confided in me before we got married, but swore me to secrecy.
She never sought help in order to help cope with what happened. She didn't want to hurt her family, but she wound up pushing those closest to her away. She developed intimacy issues.
To this day, I believe her unresolved feelings were a major contributor to our divorce.
As far as I know, her brother never acknowledged his actions; never apologized. Last I heard he was living a normal family life.
