Very little of the criticism of Obama is racially charged. It's just that people can say that because Obama is....wait for it....black.
Have race card. Play race card.
PS - the great irony is that Obama himself makes racially charged statements all the time. Obama doesn't make a fool out of himself if the Harvard professor who was arrested had been white. If Trayvon had shot Zimmerman, Obama would've remained silent (of course, nobody outside of a few people in Florida would've heard about it).
And of course, Obama played the race card just last month to rationalize his declining poll numbers in YEAR FIVE of his presidency (I think everybody knew you were black long before YEAR FIVE, Mr. President).

Calling a black man a subhuman mongrel is absolutely racial and despicable. There are a lot of criticisms you can make about Obama but calling him a mongrel is beyond the pale.

I said "very little" of the criticism leveled at Obama is racially charged. I didn't say it never happened. I also said earlier that Nugent was stupid to say what he did. But, I would suggest that we treat him like any other celebrity, liberal or conservative. Nobody gets crazy when a liberal makes a stupid comment. Heck, Alec Baldwin got in trouble for insulting a politically correct group.
Also, lets be honest. This thing works both ways. I see black posters use the word "redneck" when it's really not necessary. Anybody here think there's neverany racial emotion behind the use of that term?

My fault. Responded to the wrong poster.

Is mongrel a racial term? I'm asking from a place of ignorance. If it is I didn't know

Look up "Obama view mongrel" on youtube. Obama uses the term as a synonym with "mutt" or "hybrid."

Isn't Nugent campaigning with Rick Perry? I think what makes Nugent different is that Republican politicians use him at official Republican events and fundraisers to make speeches.

I smell desperation the closer we get to November.

I don't know, trackfan.
What office is Perry currently campaigning for? He isn't running for Governor again, so I didn't know he was doing anything right now.
I guess Perry and Nugent could be campaigning for somebody else. Probably not Wendy Davis.....

It turns out he's campaigning Abbot, the guy who wants to replace Perry.

But Democrats expressed frustration that their calls for an apology from the Texas Republican who took Mr. Nugent on the campaign trail had been ignored.
Mr. Nugent’s description of the president and his two appearances on Tuesday with Greg Abbott, the Texas attorney general and Republican front-runner in the race for governor, have put Mr. Abbott on the defensive. After the remarks generated national attention, Mr. Nugent’s language drew criticism on Thursday from prominent Republicans, including Gov. Rick Perry, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, though those three stopped short of criticizing Mr. Abbott’s decision to campaign with Mr. Nugent.

If they make a white president look like a monkey it be funny, if them people make a black president look as dumb as a monkey it is bigotry

As far as I'm concerned Nugent did go too far. Calling Oduma a subhuman mongrel was stupid.
