Rand Paul/Milei/Massie all believe this. They believe open borders are an assault on private property.
Nowhere did he state that.
In a February 2013 Washington Times op-ed, he staked out yet another position. The man who once called the DREAM Act a politicized form of lawless amnesty wrote: “After ensuring border security, then I would normalize the status of the 11 million undocumented citizens so they can join the workforce and pay taxes. I would normalize them at a rate of about 2 million per year. I would start with DREAM Act kids, children brought here illegally as minors.”
He joined Obama on that.

Thoughts?

I don't need the rest of anything. I look at his actions and his words. He stated clearly he is for unlimited work visas.

And?
How you strike a balance between deportations and integrations into society for immigrants that are already here is a separate issue from border security/open borders.
You can disagree with him but that does not make him in favor of open borders

And?
And he stated this in 2014:
quote:
This is especially evident when it comes to immigration. We have no intention or interest in sending all 12 million illegal immigrants back to Mexico, as some have been led to believe. We are a nation of immigrants and we value our immigrants. We have to extol their assets and show that there is no animus toward anyone. So if we can show our empathy about their situation and explain our positions properly, we can be a lot better off.

But it does. His words and actions on immigration is all the proof I need. He would love open borders if we reduced the welfare state.
And that's pretty damn stupid of him.

Trump tried the same thing in 2018 trading border security for amnesty. Is Trump open borders?
WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House unveiled a proposal Thursday that provides a pathway to citizenship for 1.8 million young immigrants living in the country illegally, in exchange for new restrictions on legal immigration and $25 billion in border security. The plan was applauded by some in Congress, but blasted by conservative activists as “amnesty” and slammed by a slew of Democrats, who accused President Donald Trump of holding “Dreamers” hostage to his hard-line immigration agenda.

There was a PEW study that added up data from a lot of different countries, and asked them, if you could, would you go to the United States? 600 million would come. We’re a country of 300 million, it would be a bit disruptive to have 600 million people show up, so it has to be an orderly process, and there is now a great religious sort of struggle and war going on [and people] who for many different reasons, don’t like Americans and would come and kill us
Yeah sounds like it
Why didn't you post that part of the quote btw? Seems like you stopped one sentence before it for some reason

Mo reason to stop. He is simply saying he would prefer it to be orderly.

1- With a reduced welfare state, he is for unlimited immigration. His words.
2- After getting elected in the rise of the tea party, he changed his tune and sided with Obama.
3- He has already sought to end Trump's power of diplomacy in using tariffs.
4- He is a libertarian who had to run as a republican to get elected.
