@RandPaul
FYI- The 2200+ page, budget-busting Omnibus has been printing for two hours in my office and still isn’t done.

Here is some items that got funded (from RP twitter)
1-$350,000 NSF spent asking if japanese quail are more sexually promiscuous on cocaine.
2-$961 million to destroy our chemical weapons. Who was it, exactly, who convinced our government to pay billions to develop weapons we now find deplorable?
3-$1.371bn for Contributions to International Organizations
4-$51m to promote International Family Planning and Reproductive Health
5- $7m promoting International Conservation
6-$10m for UN Environmental Programs
7-$1m for the World Meteorological Organization
8- $218m for Promoting Democracy Development in Europe (yep..the birthplace of democracy needs promoting)
9-$25m for International Religious Freedom
10-$10m for disadvantaged Egyptian Students
11- boarder security for Middle eastern countries:
quote:

Defense can spend what funds it determines to enhance the border security of Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Tunisia

and many many more important items lulz

Someone needs to fark Trumps head on Steve Martin in The Jerk when he's writing out all those checks for the Optigrab lawsuit.

Is this a joke? 1-$350,000 NSF spent asking if japanese quail are more sexually promiscuous on cocaine.

The government. They love to waste money. 2-$961 million to destroy our chemical weapons. Who was it, exactly, who convinced our government to pay billions to develop weapons we now find deplorable?

Can't really have a valid opinion on something so vague, but sounds bad. 3-$1.371bn for Contributions to International Organizations

I'm not totally against this. Less starving people. 4-$51m to promote International Family Planning and Reproductive Health

This is a good thing actually. 5- $7m promoting International Conservation

Also a good thing. 6-$10m for UN Environmental Programs

Also a good thing. 7-$1m for the World Meteorological Organization

Seems like a waste. Probably embezzlement. 8- $218m for Promoting Democracy Development in Europe (yep..the birthplace of democracy needs promoting)

Seems like a waste. Probably embezzlement. 9-$25m for International Religious Freedom

No. Just no. 10-$10m for disadvantaged Egyptian Students

Maybe it would help reduce conflict? But seems like a waste. 11- boarder security for Middle eastern countries:

So after everyone gets done laughing and feigning outrage at Trump, what as voters are we going to do about it?

It seems like a good thing, until you realize that it's only in there because some legislator's brother-in-law owns some firm that specializes in "Promoting International Conservation" and this is just a way to funnel them other people's money.

Hmm... perhaps vote on principle rather than meme power?

Stop voting Republican or Democrat. Not voting is a better option.

Probably true. I guess I should say in theory it sounds good but will likely be embezzlement.

Meh. Voting third party (Libertarian) would allocate funds for expanding a national platform. That's a rational option.

If people like me hadn't voted last time by the millions then Hillary Rodham Clinton would have been our President and then God help us all.

That's almost everything included in these bills.

Trump didn't write or pass the bill. His hand was forced by the electorate

Why is that one a good thing? Seriously, we're broke, time to tighten up the purse strings.

See , that's how this budget is so out of control, everyone thinks THEIR thing is a good thing, and maybe they all are, but when you're broke you have to have other priorities, like not being broke.

This is called kicking the can down the road.

What you have now is someone who may destroy Republican chances for a long time.

Regardless of how it happened, it exposed how little power Trump really has and how easily he can be manipulated.
