Who would you rather run on the Republican ticket in 2020, Rand or Trump? If Rand ran against the incumbent in the primaries would you support him?

I would love RP as President. But I wouldn't want him to run in 2020 - it would mean the country went off the rails.

Ideologically, Rand every day and twice on Tuesday.

Pragmatically, Trump probably has a better chance of winning.

SCOTUS is too important to lose, and Rand/Trump would both be choosing from the same Federalrist/Heritage list.

Trump!
I agree with Rand across the board. He was my guy. But Trump is a winner. Rand has a way to go.

This x1000

Unfortunately someone like Rand just can't win in this current environment. He's too smart and makes too much sense, and frankly that's boring. He can't capture the masses IMO.

That being said he is by far my favorite politician.

If Jesus came back to earth and asked me for my vote against Trump I’d be conflicted.

Yep, one of the more embarrassing performances by Trump during the debates, and that's saying something.

There’s truth in that which is incredibly sad.

Or you kidding me???? Rand would loose a LOT of the independent voters that Trump won in 16. We need that business man in there. There is a lot still needing fixing and we need that testosterone that Trump has. Rand talks a lot but he has not shown he is strong enough. Not even close.

Agreed. Rand is the president we deserve, but Trump is the president we need.

I’m not sure if Rand could ever be president. Too honest. Too principled. Too wonky. Too smart. The unclean masses don’t understand him.

Our electorate is just really stupid. There has to be a catch or a hook to get their attention.

Yep,it's sad that folks would choose a maniac as a leader just to win.

The right underestimates themselves. No matter who they put up the left can't compete right now.

Dump trump and win with a viable right candidate.

I think that more applies to Republican voters.

Meade was supposedly a much smarter general than Grant.

Trump had to come first. Rand doesn't have what Trump has and what was needed at the time. After 8 years of Trump, Rand can be much more effective being Rand.
