The membership still has to vote to approve so Biden and Company shouldn't be sucking each other's dicks just yet.

They spend money to fix a problem they created. Not sure that’s a win.

There's enough to hammer Biden on already. He's one of the worst Presidents ever.

The strike had to be averted. It doesn't matter if the media spins it as a Democrat win. It had to be done.

they just said ok to any demand the unions had. now the price to ship something by rail doubles overnight because of this deal

It’s so entertaining to see that no matter how ignorant and uninformed on a topic, some of you refuse to let that stop you from proving yourselves complete dumb asses.

First, as far as “saying ok to any demand the unions had” that is not how any of that works.

Second, the price to ship will not double because of a raise, that is one of the dumber things I’ve read from the uninformed on the subject. The railroads raise rates on its customers exponentially during the pandemic, which raised prices on goods for consumers. The railroads contributed to supply chain crisis with pathetic operating plains which have left trains sitting for years now, which once again caused a raise in prices of goods that are shipped.

But of course no one on this board said a word about that. Some you think the real issue is paying what railroad employees that are left a few more dollars a day is going to raise prices

Explain to me like a five year old how Biden can make promises of a big financial bonus and a 25% pay increase to every railroad employee when they do not work for him but rather they work for the railroad companies

He can’t, and he didn’t. And there is no “big financial bonus”. They got 1k a year for 5 years

Railroads are governed by the FRA, Federal Railroad Administration. The government pretty much controls them and can subsidize them. This president or any other could probably set their pay wherever said president desires.

This is true-- but why are American railroads and rail transportation so primitive compared to other developed countries, when they seemingly have an endless fountain of funds?

I want our country to succeed, regardless as to who is leading it.

It is that simple.

For you to think you understand this issue, yet every time you open your mouth you prove you are completely ignorant of the entire thing is embarrassing.

Forget what you think you know about the FRA and railroad and start by reading the Railway Labor Act.
