How do we push back? Clearly the ballot box doesn’t work all that well.

My baby girl couldn't take any formula. Whole milk did the job and the pediatrician said "stay with that, it's fine"

She got fat fast.

Not to mention just yesterday a Man won the Woman's skateboarding Championship...

I don't know about you buddy, but I call that winning.

Thanks, WW2, you get my point, America is way way off the center line on what is important. And the lack of basic life skills is alarming.

Look at all the f***ing idiots in the world around you who were given formula as babies. Formula hasn't exactly boosting the nation's IQ.

Whole milk has been mentioned as an alternative, but unfortunately most folks use 2% or skim in the false belief that whole milk is unhealthy and makes a person fat.

I'll lay you odds that the scientists who put a man on the moon and brought him safely home weren't raised on baby formula.

There aren't enough downvotes. Where to start?

This is a huge mess but stop bitching? WHY?

"There's no meat in the stores, just eat bugs and stop bitching!"
How about NO.

Breast milk is best, but that isn't a total option. My wife couldn't produce enough so we had to augment with formula. Thank god it was an option.

What do they do? Do they have rules? Why should we? We should act better than them. Why? Being civil doesn’t work. Treat them like crap every chance you get. We outnumber them by a lot. We can roll them easily if we come together.
AND THEY KNOW IT.

We had twins, born three weeks early, so they needed it asap.

The entire day of her birth was also a mindrape for her, and the postpartum turned her into a barely functioning human for a whole year.

You really are an idiot.

Copying the nutrients in breast milk isn't simple. Even formula doesn't do as good of a job as breast milk. Babies don't get their mom's immunity from formula.

In the past, babies died or had other issues if their mom's couldn't breast feed.

Our country is throwing away all the advances it has made in the past hundred years, and it's a travesty.

Us older folks didn't have mass produced "baby formula" and the generations before us didn't have it. We all survived on formula our mothers made.

Thats rich. So the mom cant breastfeed, there is no formula on the shelf, and Im an idiot for suggesting you feed the child something.

Whats your option starve the child to death?? Bravo, you sure showed them, didnt you??

baby formula

Gosh - I remember those days - I had my first child in 1958 when I was in my sophomore year at LSU - living in the brand new married students apartments at LSU on Nicholson Drive
Had to get up one night to make formula and warm it up on the stove. Went to sleep on the couch, and when I woke up the pot had boiled dry, the milk in the bottle began to boil and the pressure broke thru the cap on the top of the bottle (yep - I forgot to take it off and reverse the nipple) and the boiling milk spewed all over the kitchen and the rubber nipple melted and burned in the bottom of the bottle.
Don't even know if they had prepared formula in those days.

yep - for the 35000 years before that we were just lucky to survive. Surprised we made it this far.

It’s true. Our grandparents either breastfed or drank formula made at home in most cases. Their generation were arguably smarter than the latest ones. We as a society have relied on factories and corporations and the government for so long we have forgotten how to think critically.

Shouldn’t the United States of America be able to provide a supply chain that provides formula for infants?
