Question for veterans or those in the know

What MOS was that fat toothless loudmouth Jolly Good Ginger or whatever his name is? I’ve heard something about military interrogator (whatever that is). So what was he really? A behind the line nobody or did he even serve? He’s quick to go to all these protest and run around and yell and scream about he’s a veteran and loves to get in conservatives faces.

You really don't know what this could be?
I mean, it seems pretty straight forward...

He's gonna get his teeth knocked in.

I know what it is but he doesn’t seem like that would have been his MOS at all. Reason being is when he gets in peoples faces he keeps yelling the same thing “are you a veteran? Are you a veteran?”. My dad was 13b but he never ran around bragging about his service and didn’t even mention it to anyone. Every veteran I’ve ever been around that actually walked outside the wire was quiet about it, they never brought it up unless asked. The ones that sat their arse in an air conditioned building usually love to spout about it like this fat fvck does.

Is his actual name "Jolly Giner?"
When I do a search for him I'm not seeing anything.

Jolly good ginger. I’m not sure of his real name. He is a recently famous political activist that came out of nowhere about a year or so ago and the left reveres him as “see! We have veterans on our side supporting us”. He’s their fat redhead puppet mascot.

There was a dedicated interrogator MOS a long time ago, 97E. The 97 enlisted series used to be the enlisted intelligence specialties for the Army (along with the 96 series, primarily).
Prior to 2007, the primary 97 series MOS were:
97E were tasked with interrogations of enemy prisoners of war (EPW)
97L were interpreters
97B were counter-intelligence agents
Typically all were coded language slots - 97L MOS was their language qualification.
In 2007, they all (96 and 97) consolidated under the 35 series to align with the MI officer specialties.
In particular, 35M (which is what 97E became) changed relatively significantly to encompass both interrogation of EPWs and direct human intelligence (HUMINT) source operations.

Google AI seems to think that was his mos but I can’t find anything to confirm it. I would be shocked if he was that though.

I have no idea who this is but in my basic training we were grouped with tons of those guys. They were fairly nerdy and pretty smart people from what I remember. Alot of them got to go to somewhere in California after basic, maybe Monterey.

Again, almost all of the old 97 series were language-coded slots (the 97L sort of came there at the end, might have even been a reserve component only MOS and the language was the MOS). If they did not possess the language, they mostly trained at the Defense Language Institute-Monterey.

That Woke Farmer is even worse. He calls himself a combat veteran. Never deployed, personnel clerk, and got a bad conduct discharge.

His real name is Russell Ellis ... from western NC.
I watched a few minutes of one of his videos. He's an unhinged phuqtard. I couldn't stomach any more.
Who knows what his MOS was ... could be anything in the 35 series or he could have just been a clerk assigned to S2 or G2 somewhere. He wasn't combat infantry, we know that by his mannerisms. I'll find out what he was. There's always fringe vets who use their vet status for far left wing causes ... but he's totally off the chart.

Russell Ellis, known online as Jolly Good Ginger (or variations like @jolly_good_ginger on TikTok), is a U.S. Army combat veteran, former military interrogator, civil rights activist, content creator, and political commentator.
Background and Personal Story
Born in the mountains of Western North Carolina in the 1980s, he was raised in a poor, predominantly white, church-influenced environment steeped in racism and bigotry
A key turning point came in his teens when he reconnected with his estranged mother, who had remarried a Black man and had mixed-race siblings. This experience challenged his upbringing, leading him to reject the hate he was taught and embark on a long journey of self-education and deconstruction of racist beliefs.
He describes himself as a "Raging Leftist Atheist," white, cisgender, heterosexual male from a conservative background who now advocates breaking cycles of hate.
Career and Rise to Prominence
Military Service: Combat veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has spoken about the harsh realities that motivated his enlistment (e.g., poverty and targeting by recruiters) and uses his veteran status in activism.
Social Media: He gained massive popularity on TikTok (millions of followers, e.g., around 4.9–5.3M reported in sources) and Instagram as @jolly_good_ginger. He started with "spilling tea"/drama content but shifted heavily into political commentary, anti-racism, and left-leaning activism, especially around protests, elections, and opposing figures like Donald Trump.
TV Appearance: Competed as a contestant on Survive the Raft (Discovery Channel), where he was noted for using maturity and reason.
Activism and Speaking: He has spoken at events like TEDx-style talks, protests (e.g., "Flood the Halls" in DC in 2025, where he declared "I'm Antifa" in remarks), and veterans' gatherings. He is involved in anti-fascism, racial justice, and mutual liberation advocacy.
Public Image and Controversies
He is polarizing: Supporters view him as a compelling voice who evolved from a conservative background to fight bigotry and authoritarianism. Critics (often from the right or drama-focused communities) accuse him of being overly confrontational, slandering people/businesses in videos, or performative activism. There are dedicated snark/criticism communities about him.
In short, Jolly Good Ginger is a vocal progressive activist and veteran content creator known for his fiery, educational-style videos on politics, racism, and social justice, often drawing on his personal transformation story. His online presence is primarily on TikTok.
