It seems like Trump is imperfectly doing fine.
He is doing better than 20 or 16 at the same point.
Plus a better VP to articulate the message.
Plus X
Plus no covid
Plus an incumbent rival with a poor record
He can do it. Just hammer on point.
Reduce unforced errors (hardest part)

Anybody swanky enough to be talking to trump every week, and going to a senators in-crowd cocksucker party, probably can’t fathom what the average Joe is voting for or against.
But Senate races and other down ticket races REALLY matter - the Senate possibly even more than POTUS. Stupidly refusing to do what it takes to actually win - and win big - is just that..fricking stupid.

You nailed it. It is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT to control the Senate. If the Senate is even 50-50 with Harris winning, and we are done. The damage that can be done in 2 years may be non-revisable.
There are no Manchin / Senima types in the Senate any longer to stop the crazy. And, what they want to do is absolutely crazy.
For all of you crying over the RINOs, all you need is a majority leader in control and they can keep bad shite from happening. Cocaine Mitch proved that by single handedly giving you the SCOTUS we have today.

Why, evidently, must support for Trump come in the form of lockstep, complete lack of critique?
No one has ever said that. It's the fact that no matter what Trump does, you people bitch about it.
Trump needs to court people outside his base.
OMG! Why is Trump supporting a liberal policy?
OMG! Why is Trump courting black voters when they always vote democrat?
Trump needs to shut his mouth and coast to victory.
OMG! Why isn't Trump doing 5 rallies a week?
I know Trump just did an interview with the richest guy in the world that reached 100 million people, but why isn't he doing AM/FM radio ads in the age of dying legacy media, social media, and streaming?
If you've been paying attention, you should know several more examples of people complaining about Trump for one thing and then crying about the opposite a week later.
It's exhausting being around people who are so dramatic. Everything is the end of Trump's campaign to you people.

It presently has close to $500M in it and they can't just give it out willy nilly to any candidate with their hand out. The race being closer has caused some really hard decisions to be made. And Trump does not make it easier by refusing to do utterly simple things that could attract material amounts of swing voters in swing states.

He had such an opportunity to use the assassination as almost a reset for the opinions of some folks. Instead, RIGHT BACK TO THE SAME STUPID shite. Remember, this is the "master campaigner" that actually lost when the other side was calling to abolish the police.

Still waiting on an explanation of why TopGuv won Florida by 20% and Trump is only up on Kamala by like 4%?
Ron had one job.
Win the nomination.
That responsibility was 100% his. That failure was 100% his.

I won't necessarily say Kamala is running a smart campaign , but she is running a smarter campaign, at least for now. She's putting out inane, never to be followed through with policy proposals and Trump is focused mainly on stupid shite that does not even attempt to attract the 7 or 8 % out there that he will need to get over the hump....there are a lot of sophomoric issues that he and his base focus on.

Its really not that hard. Just look up the only time in Fla where they were running for the same office. (+ more recent than your example)
