Here is a Cochrane Review on ivermectin. I can’t link directly to the review, so you need to click the hyperlink at the bottom here. The verdict from what’s been studied:
The best published available evidence says, “not sure.”
quote:
Ivermectin compared to no treatment for prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection We found one study. Mortality up to 28 days was the only outcome eligible for primary analysis. We are uncertain whether ivermectin reduces or increases mortality compared to no treatment (0 participants died; 1 study, 304 participants; very low-certainty evidence). The study reported results for development of COVID-19 symptoms and adverse events up to 14 days that were included in a secondary analysis due to high risk of bias. No study reported SARS-CoV-2 infection, hospital admission, and quality of life up to 14 days.

I looked at it. Their review was based solely on Ivermectin, not as part of a “cocktail,” which, correctly or incorrectly, has been the manner in which the positive results have been seen (Allegedly). In short, it is honest in its assessment, but lacking in terms of application. It would be like me saying my car fan go X # of miles on an oil change with a certain filter and additive, Then having people pull studies on only the motor oil itself and claim that results are inconclusive (or even false).
Show me studies with only the cocktail and then it would be worth my read.

Certain breeds of dogs should not be given ivermectin. Australian Shepherds are one of these. Although there is a cheek swap test you can do that tests Aussies whether they can have ivermectin or not. We have that done on ours.

Or just as a treatment?
I read where it’s for prevention and treatment both. Not totally sure

a recent study of controlled groups using ivermectin as a preventative found (just not profitable for big pharma):
100% prophylactic efficacy against covid in participants taking it every 7 days.
98% prophylactic efficacy against covid when taken every 14 days.
90% prophylactic efficacy against covid when taken every 30 days.

I imagine that’s why the govt doesn’t want us to have it. They’d rather thin the herd

Ivermectin kills parasites, NOT viruses please learn some chemistry and biology. It can help boost an immune system that is severely malfunctioning due to Covid but it cannot kill Covid outright.

If the true power of ivermectin where revealed, nobody would be able to worm their livestock once big pharm got control.
Plenty of information out there on its treatment of cancer.

Given as a heart worm prevention. Not been proven as a “cure” for heart worm in canines. Just fine for prevention, terrible for “cure” of heart worm disease IMO.
That being said, using for COVID has few downsides IMO considering safety margins.

It has been used effectively for both

It has been used as a prophylaxis and in a recent double blind study 700 who had it 0% Covid. Those with the placebo 407 each, 58% got Covid
These were nurses working with Covid patients.

FDA has not approved ivermectin for use in treating or preventing COVID-19 in humans. Ivermectin tablets are approved at very specific doses for some parasitic worms, and there are topical (on the skin) formulations for head lice and skin conditions like rosacea. Ivermectin is not an anti-viral (a drug for treating viruses).

So y’all won’t take the vaccines because it is only approved under emergency use by the FDA but will gladly take this medication which has no FDA approval?
Posted on 8/10/21 at 4:04 am to TiketheMiger
Ivermectin has been around for a very long time and is known to have no serious side effects. The vaccine has been around just a few months and is known to have some rare SERIOUS side effects.

My hesitation on the vaccine has nothing to do with its FDA status and everything to do with my distrust in our govt.

For preventative .....
1/mg per 13 lbs body weight 1 time per week
It’s getting hard to get from pharmacies so stock up if can

My Wife was the nurse for a church camp. She caught Covid while there. We found out later that a 31 year old Pastor at the same church camp was admitted to the hospital the same day that she tested positive. Regretfully the 31 year old Pastor died. I do not know if the Pastor was taking medicine prior to catching Covid or not. I do know that my 54 year old Wife was on a low dose of Ivermectine prior to catching Covid and she is just fine today. Look up the FLCCC Protocol and follow it.
