And even if I agree with that, for the sake of “getting along” that doesn’t make it right or wrong, so if there is doubt, in any way, isn’t errorring on the side of safety, in this case a life, the way to go? It’s not as if the baby is a threat, or is it?

I don't have a strong opinion either way on abortion. I never have, and I never will.

But I am having lots of fun watching the prog filth melt down over this.

That exists.
You obviously have some different sort of legislation in mind though.
What is it?

While we are talking about guns, if a pregnant woman is shot and the baby dies, would you concede that as murder?

SFP isn't prog filth
But this is a melt
Rightly so

Let me explain the melt scenario..

These groups are melting: Prog filth, conservatives with common sense

These groups are happy: right wing christian faux conservatives,
people who know this law would be the end of right wing christian faux conservatism

What do you think it is?
You'd call it a human being?

BTW, it's less than 3 cms long.

That’s a nice, divisive title to your thread.

Nice phrasing. Are you still beating your wife?

No, I do not support this grandstanding excuse for an abortion bill.

A reasonable bill would ban elective abortions after the 16th or 20th week (maybe even the 12th) and would include exceptions thereafter for rape &/or incest, for the PHYSICAL health of the pregnant woman and for a fetus determined not to be viable outside the womb.

No I wouldn't. It's not a dog or a chicken or an alien (perhaps illegal alien, but can't determine that from the pic), it's not a turtle or a cow or a horse, or an insect or a bat. I can name every life form on earth and the only thing that pic will ever be is a human in the earliest developmental stages of life. If it's mother doesn't abort it for financial concerns or because she's not yet ready to be mom in the prime of her clubbing years, it will grow up to be a human male or female or perhaps a female who thinks she's a guy or a guy who just wants to wear panties and feel sexy because he thinks he's a female. It won't ever be anything but a human from that pic until the time of it's death, however that might come.

Your argument is no different than saying at 25 years, thus is NOT a human (because it looks different).
I have asked repeatedly why the existence of 23 chromosome pairs is a BETTER measure by which to assign legal rights than (a) cognitive function or even (b) physical appearance?

All are arbitrary. I think that cognition is the LEAST arbitrary. The only significant factor in favor of counting chromosomes is that it is objectively-verifiable.

1st rule of progfilth is you are not adequate to determine other people’s filth level. By your very own filth, you’re a roach, so please let the old human embryos talk, roach

I think death is when the heart stops beating . So life should be when you have a heart beat .

Better is relative. E.g. would 23 be better than 30?
