Always taught my young un' to be respectful towards authority, HOWEVER in this situation, I'd be OK if my kid stood up and said "Fk you, you sick a-hole" then walked out of class.

This is going to be an interesting case to watch. If this would have happened in a school where I was an administrator, the teacher would have been fired within the day.
I am an advocate for cameras in classrooms. There will be abuses, but you would greatly cut down on shite like this.
