Biden is a potato now, but Psaki and the people pulling Biden's strings are not "dumb." They know full well that corporations will pass through taxes by increasing prices on consumers. They know full well that it will cause inflation. They know full well that this is a path to things like universal basic income, government healthcare, and, ultimately, the socialism they desire. They will keep up appearances that they are just trying to make capitalism work for everyone all the while implementing policies to replace capitalism with socialism before the masses realize it and it's too late to do anything about it.

Corporations exist to survive Jen. They do not give a frick about the consumer beyond the extent of them buying the product.
If a company will sell me a 52 oz quart of orange juice to make money, they will pass on extra tax to make money as well.
What these morons don’t get is that if corporations miss earnings, their stock goes down and the wealth of this country suffers. They pretend “trickle down” economics doesn’t exist when it is actually a fact of life. They ignore a concept that is plainly obvious, And then they tell us that we are the ones that ignore science and reasoning.

Let me put it simply to you lefties. If a corporation has to make X amount of profit to survive, and their costs of business rise, they will raise their prices to maintain that profit margin. Whether the rising cost of business is raw materials costs or taxes, they will raise prices regardless of how ‘unfair and absurd’ you retards think it is.
